Sony Store Japan’s current PS5 Pro purchase lottery is open to eligible Japan residents with a Japan-registered Sony account, unified My Sony credentials, and at least 60 hours of PS4 and/or PS5 gameplay during the specified two-year period. Applications close October 7, 2026, at 23:59 Japan time. If selected, you must buy online with the same Sony account by November 2 at 11:59. Sony lists the 2TB PS5 Pro (model CFI-7100B01) at ¥137,980 including tax. Check Sony’s live campaign page before applying, since dates and availability can change.
Who is eligible for Sony Store Japan’s PS5 Pro lottery?
Sony’s 2026 campaign requires applicants to meet all of these conditions:
| # | Preview | Product | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 |
|
PlayStation 5 Pro with 2TB SSD Storage, Console Only - PS5 Pro Gaming System, White (Renewed) | $1,499.49 | Buy on Amazon |

PlayStation®5 Digital Edition (slim) | $598.99 | Buy on Amazon |
- Reside in Japan and use PlayStation online services with a Sony account registered in Japan.
- Have at least 60 total hours of gameplay on PS5 and/or PS4 between September 27, 2024, and September 27, 2026, at 23:59. The qualifying play history must be associated with the same Sony account used to apply.
- Have that Sony account unified with a My Sony ID. Sony says My Sony IDs newly registered from January 19, 2022, are already unified. If your My Sony ID is older, or you do not have one, follow the account-unification instructions linked from Sony’s campaign page.
Meeting these requirements makes you eligible for Sony’s review; it does not guarantee selection or a console. Sony says it checks applications after the entry period and holds a lottery if eligible applications exceed the planned inventory. It has not published the stock quantity, number of applicants, or odds of winning.
How to apply and buy if selected
- Confirm your account and play history. Check that you are signed into the Japan-registered Sony account with the required gameplay history and unified My Sony ID.
- Apply through Sony’s purchase-application form. Sign in with that account and submit your application by October 7, 2026, at 23:59 Japan time. Use an email address you can access and allow messages from
@email.playstation.com. - Watch for the result. Sony says it will begin notifying applicants around October 26, 2026, by email to the address registered to the Sony account. Linking LINE after applying can also enable LINE notifications.
- If selected, complete the purchase online. Use Sony’s dedicated Store page and the same Sony account used to apply. The purchase deadline is November 2, 2026, at 11:59. Sony lists credit card, Rakuten Pay, PayPay, and Merpay as payment methods.
Sony’s campaign is an online purchase, not an in-store transaction. Delivery is limited to Japan. After placing the order, you cannot change the delivery address, request carrier forwarding, or collect the package at a distribution center; Sony says such requests may invalidate the order. Each Sony account may apply for one console, and a selection cannot be transferred to another person. Sony says unpurchased allocations may be offered in another draw among eligible unsuccessful applicants from November onward.

What the Sony offer includes
Sony identifies the item as the PlayStation 5 Pro, model CFI-7100B01, with a 2TB SSD. Its listed price is ¥137,980 including tax. The package includes one DualSense wireless controller, horizontal feet, HDMI, power and USB cables, printed materials, and ASTRO’s PLAYROOM preinstalled. These are the details on Sony’s current Japan campaign page; check that page for any changes before purchase.
If you use physical game discs
The PS5 Pro does not include a built-in disc drive. Nojima describes a separately sold drive for disc use; confirm the compatible model and current availability with the retailer before buying. A disc drive is optional and does not affect Sony lottery eligibility. Nojima’s explanation of its sale methods discusses the accessory in the context of the PS5 Pro.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Do other Japanese retailers use the same lottery rules?
No. Sony’s eligibility, deadlines, payment options, and delivery restrictions apply to Sony’s campaign, not to every Japanese retailer. Retailers may use lotteries, invitations, or other sales formats, each with its own entry requirements and dates. Check the specific retailer’s live notice rather than assuming Sony’s conditions apply elsewhere.

Kojima Net: a closed 2024 example
Kojima Net’s surfaced PS5 Pro lottery page describes a closed launch-era campaign from 2024, not an open 2026 drawing. That historical offer required a Kojima Net account and qualifying purchase history at Kojima Net or a Kojima, Bic Camera, or Sofmap group store during the period stated on the page. It limited applications to one per person and specified Kojima/Bic Camera payment cards for purchase. These rules illustrate how retailer requirements can differ; they are not current Sony rules. Read Kojima Net’s historical campaign page.

Nojima’s explanation covers several anti-resale formats, including lotteries, secret sales, invitation sales, and offers to designated customers. It says Nojima began using invitation sales for PS5 Pro reservations in 2024 and prioritized invited members of higher account ranks; newsletter settings affected invitation messages. Those details describe Nojima’s method and its historical PS5 Pro launch context, not a currently open drawing. For any current offer, consult Nojima’s live explanation and notices.
