Start by interacting with a Tarot Tome Shrine to unlock Intuition, which opens several landmark card locations. Once you have all 26 cards, select them in your inventory and choose Create Deck to make Lady Ravendancer Goth’s Tarot Deck.
Before you hunt for cards
The tarot collection is part of The Sims 4: Life & Death and its Ravenwood gameplay. Travel to any Ravenwood neighborhood and interact with a Tarot Tome Shrine. The first interaction awards The High Spellcaster and unlocks Intuition, a required interaction for cards at several landmarks. Sims Community’s 2025 guide and an EA Forums early-access player account describe this starting route; the forum post is player-reported, not an official developer statement.
Use the in-game collection panel to track what you have. The Order of Lenore favor-givers can change between saves: view a Tarot Tome Shrine to see the Sims currently assigned to each role. A Sim can have at most two favors active, shown in the Career tab. If the favor interaction is hard to find, check the social menu’s Activities category.
All tarot card locations and routes
Most cards come from a specific Ravenwood activity, landmark, favor, or character. The four suit cards are random crypt finds, so you may need to explore more than once.

Get eight cards from Order of Lenore favors
Each of the four Order of Lenore roles offers two favors, each rewarding a card. Check a shrine to identify the current role-holders in your save; the names below are the characters reported in Sims Community’s guide and may be replaced by other Sims.
Ghost Host: Judgement and Strength
- Cake Baked Lies → Judgement: Find Percival the Patient, an undead cowplant in Mourningvale. Bake a cake, take a slice, and deliver it to the Ghost Host.
- Essence-Tials → Strength: Become a temporary ghost, obtain Ghost Essence, and deliver it to the Ghost Host. Ghost Mastery abilities can grant essence.
Grim Enthusiast: The Advocate and The Fool
- Macabre Mysteries → The Advocate: Visit Specter graves, buy four souls from Waylon Warez, then report your findings to the Grim Enthusiast.
- Grim Beginnings → The Fool: Meet Grim, deliver the gnome, then report back. Grimtern work or the Grimaphone—if you completed the Reaper’s Rewards event—are ways to meet Grim, not universal requirements.
Widowed Father: The Emperor and The Lovers
- The Small Things → The Emperor: Search for frogs in the Family Day Festival fountain and deliver a toy you purchased to the Widowed Father.
- Unfinished Boo-siness → The Lovers: Ask three ghosts about unfinished business at Afterlife Anonymous, then report back.
Death Obsessed: The Magician and The Sun
- Petal for Your Thoughts → The Magician: Read a Thanatology book, find a Death Flower, and deliver it. Reported sources include cemetery seed packets and Waylon Warez. Sims Community gives an approximate 30% chance for a Starter Flower Seeds packet to contain a Death Flower; treat that as the guide’s estimate, not an official or independently verified rate.
- We All Fall Down → The Sun: Meet a ghost, create a memorial display, take a photo, and deliver it to Death Obsessed.
Role-holders appear at named festivals and locations. Sims Community reports the Widowed Father at Moon Revelry nightly from 7 p.m.–1 a.m.; the Ghost Host at Afterlife Anonymous on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6–11 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.; Death Obsessed at Thinned Festiveil on Wednesdays from 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; and the Grim Enthusiast at any Ravenwood festival. These detailed times may change with updates, so use the role and venue names as your durable guide and verify schedules in your game.

Get Death, the 26th card
After collecting the other 25 cards, select the tarot cards in your Sim’s inventory and choose Summon Death. A Grim Reaper character appears and gives your Sim the final card, Death. This step is gated: summoning Death before gathering the other 25 does not complete the collection.
