The official mechanics support experimentation, not one universally best team for every mode or account.
What a balanced Soul Strike team needs
Think of roles as functions to cover, rather than assuming the game requires a fixed tank-healer-damage party. The documented examples include allies that damage and stun enemies, allies that increase team damage, and skills with elemental or status-linked effects. Read the descriptions of the allies and skills you own, then choose a combination that addresses the content in front of you.
- Damage: Effects that deal damage directly or strengthen damage from other sources.
- Control: Effects such as a stun that disrupt enemies while your team attacks.
- Team support: Buffs that improve allied damage or otherwise complement the rest of the lineup.
- Element or status interaction: Effects that reward matching elements or conditions such as burning, where your owned skills provide them.
These are practical ways to evaluate effects, not an official role taxonomy. Whether an effect is useful depends on the stage and on the levels or awakenings needed to activate it.
How many allies can you use?
An official publisher update report describes expanding the ally formation from four slots to five. The additional slot gives you another way to combine complementary effects, but it does not by itself establish which five allies are strongest. Build around the skills and allies available to your account rather than treating a five-slot formation as a prescribed lineup.

How elemental resonance works
Com2uS Holdings says elemental resonance unlocks when the Soul Research Lab reaches level 10. When three of the four ally or skill slots are set to the same element, the remaining slot changes to that element. The publisher presents this as a way to make deck composition more flexible; it does not identify a universally superior element.
Use resonance as a composition option, not as the only test of a team. Compare the effects you gain from aligning elements with the control, buffs, and damage you might give up by changing a slot. The best choice depends on the stage and the effects available to you.

How to test a lineup for a specific stage
The publisher describes a training mode where players can configure allies, skills, relics, pets, and stage mechanics to experiment with combinations. Use it to compare plausible alternatives instead of relying on a generic tier list.
- Identify the stage’s demands. Decide whether your current lineup needs more damage, control, or support, and note any element or status interactions that could matter.
- Choose a baseline five-ally formation. Use the allies and skills you have, aiming for effects that complement one another rather than filling assumed fixed party roles.
- Check resonance eligibility. If your Soul Research Lab is level 10 or higher, see whether three matching elements across the four relevant ally or skill slots let the remaining slot align without losing more useful effects.
- Compare one change at a time in training mode. Configure the relevant allies, skills, relics, pets, and stage mechanics, then compare how each setup handles the target content.
- Account for progression. Check whether an effect depends on a skill awakening or other development level your account has reached; an effect you cannot yet use should not decide the comparison.
For a fair comparison, consider which element-related effects each lineup activates, what control, buffs, or damage it adds, whether those effects fit the stage, and whether your account has the required development. These are useful evaluation questions, not official ranking criteria.

Example: combining a stun, a team buff, and fire damage
In a publisher example, ally Ran deals damage and stuns enemies while increasing allied critical damage. The Phoenix skill deals fire-element damage; its awakening effects can increase allied critical damage or add damage against burning enemies. Together, these descriptions illustrate how control, a team buff, and element- or status-linked damage can complement one another.
This is an illustration of effect synergy, not a recommendation that Ran and Phoenix form a current top team. The cited descriptions do not establish their relative performance across modes, stages, or account progression.

What changes in later progression?
Com2uS Holdings describes a Core Research Lab that opens at Conqueror stage 12,000. It adds a separate elemental layer: players strengthen five elemental cores and gain extra stats by placing matching-element cores next to one another. The layout’s shape and the number of neighboring cores can also affect bonuses.
This system is later-game context, not a requirement for building an early team. Treat its board placement as a separate progression decision from choosing allies and skills.

Why there is no universal best team here
The documented publisher material explains formation size, resonance, training mode, and examples of ally and skill effects. It does not provide a controlled comparison or a current tier list establishing the best lineup by mode, stage, or account level. A lineup that fits one stage or a developed account may not be the right choice for another, so test the effects you can actually use against your target content.
