As of October 4, 2026, no delay is officially confirmed in the sources reviewed. Nintendo still lists The Duskbloods for 2026, but has not announced a month or day. The claim that a delay is all but guaranteed remains speculation—not a confirmed change to the release window.
Is The Duskbloods delayed?
There is no confirmed delay. Nintendo’s current US product listing, checked October 4, 2026, gives the release date only as “2026.” It does not say the game has moved to 2027 or identify a more specific launch date.

That listing is the clearest direct release information available here. It identifies The Duskbloods as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive and names FromSoftware as both its developer and publisher. Nintendo has not supplied a precise date on the reviewed page.

The September 24 claim is not a confirmed release date. As reported by The Brief, Nintendo’s spokesperson said: “The release date is inaccurate because there is no information regarding [the] release date of the Duskbloods”. That is a secondhand report of Nintendo’s response, not a dated announcement from Nintendo.

When is The Duskbloods coming out?
Nintendo currently lists 2026, with no exact date. VICE’s August 13 report says Kadokawa’s financial materials also reaffirmed a worldwide 2026 release window, but neither source establishes a launch day. Until Nintendo or FromSoftware announces one, any specific date—or a claim that the game has slipped to 2027—goes beyond the confirmed information.

Nintendo presents The Duskbloods as an online multiplayer game for Switch 2. Its listing describes players as “Bloodsworn of Dusk,” supernatural beings with abilities granted by blood, fighting in online battles of up to eight players. Nintendo also describes temporary alliances and rivalries, with players competing for “First Blood.” These are details from the store listing, not independent hands-on findings.
