Ubisoft limits the demo to three hours; access to the full game requires a separate purchase or an eligible subscription.
What is free in Star Wars Outlaws?
Ubisoft’s current official game page advertises: “Play the game during 3h for free!” That means a three-hour gameplay demo, not a limited-time giveaway of the full game. Ubisoft’s October 2025 demo FAQ described the demo as permanently available on most platforms where the game is available. “Most” matters: check your platform’s official store in your region to see whether the demo is offered there.

Where can you get the demo?
Ubisoft announced the demo for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 23, 2025, and its October 2025 FAQ says it is permanently available across most platforms where the game is available. The full game is listed on Nintendo Switch 2, Ubisoft+, Xbox Series X|S, PS5/PS5 Pro, Amazon Luna, and PC via Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam. The full-game platform list does not guarantee that the demo is available on every one of those platforms. Search the official store for your device and region, or start from Ubisoft’s game page.
Does demo progress carry over?
No. Ubisoft’s Nintendo Switch 2 demo announcement says demo progress does not carry over to the base game. If you buy the game after playing the Switch 2 demo, do not expect that demo save to continue in the purchased version.
