A champion’s tier-list rank is a useful prompt to investigate—not a verdict on whether they belong on your account. To decide who to build next or take to 6 stars, compare champions for the same game mode and team role, then check their skills, roster fit, affinity matchups, and whether your gear can support the build.
What a champion tier list can—and cannot—tell you
A tier list reflects the activities and criteria its publisher chose. Plarium’s list combines ratings across endgame content, including Demon Lord Clan Boss, Eternal Dragon, and dungeons, while distinguishing PvE from PvP value. A combined rating can therefore conceal a champion’s narrower strengths or weaknesses in the mode you care about. Plarium’s tier-list article was last updated September 3, 2025, so treat its rankings as dated guidance rather than a live guarantee.
For example, that article gives Arbiter, a Legendary Support champion with Void affinity, a combined endgame score of 4.9/5 and describes uses in Arena, Faction Wars, and Dungeons. That number is Plarium’s rating as shown in its 2025 article—not a win probability or an independent evaluation of how she will perform on your account.
How to decide whether a champion is good for your account
Start with the content you actually play and the job your team needs. A highly ranked champion may add little if your team already covers that role, while a less broadly rated champion may fill a specific gap. Read the skills themselves and consider how they work alongside your current allies.

Compare champions for the same mode and role
Do not compare an Arena specialist’s broad score directly with a Clan Boss candidate as if they compete for the same slot. Set one target—such as Arena, Clan Boss, a dungeon, or Faction Wars—and compare candidates who could reasonably do the same job there. Ask what each champion contributes and whether that contribution improves the team you can field.
Check team fit and matchup
Consider whether a champion brings a missing function, duplicates one you already have, or has skills that complement your existing lineup. Affinity also influences skills and damage, so consider it alongside role and synergy when assessing a matchup; it is not a stand-alone ranking rule. Plarium’s affinity guidance explains the affinity system, and its game overview advises balancing teams with affinity counters in mind.

Can your account make the build work?
A ranking does not tell you whether you can equip a champion well enough for the job. Plarium describes six Artifact slots and three accessory slots; equipment supplies stats, while sets add further effects. When a role depends on acting early or landing debuffs, Speed and Accuracy may matter to the build. Plarium’s gear guide explains these equipment mechanics.
Account bonuses also complicate comparisons with another player’s build. Plarium says Arena tier bonuses can raise champion stats by up to 25%, and Great Hall upgrades improve stats. The Arena figure is a stated maximum, not a bonus every account automatically receives. Check the official Champion and Team Power guidance when interpreting power scores and bonuses.

Why Champion Power is not a verdict
Plarium describes Champion Power as an approximate calculation based on stats including HP, Attack, Defense, Speed, Critical Rate, Critical Damage, Resistance, and Accuracy. It is not a forecast of who will win a fight: the same page says a higher Team Power does not guarantee victory. Plarium’s guidance is that “Team synergy and counter-pick are a much more accurate way to defeat your opponents.”
Use power as one piece of information, not as a substitute for asking whether the champion’s skills, build, affinity, and team role suit the matchup. Two accounts can also reach different outcomes with the same champion because their gear and account bonuses differ.

A practical comparison checklist
Before investing in a champion, compare them with the other candidate for the same activity:
- Target mode: Which specific activity are you preparing for?
- Role and skills: What does the champion contribute, based on their actual skills?
- Team fit: Do they fill a gap or duplicate a role, and do their skills work with your allies?
- Matchup: How do affinity and the opposing team affect the choice?
- Build feasibility: Can your gear provide the stats the role needs, such as Speed or Accuracy?
- Account state: What gear, Arena tier bonuses, and Great Hall upgrades can you bring to the build?
- Ranking scope and date: Does the list rate the mode you care about, and when was it last updated?
When to trust a ranking—and when to look closer
A tier list is most useful for discovering candidates and spotting champions worth investigating. Before using it to choose a 6-star investment, check whether its scope matches your target mode and whether the champion solves a real problem in your roster. The Plarium list cited here is dated September 3, 2025; because balance and rankings can change, verify the date and mode scope of any list before treating its placements as current advice.
