Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is no longer available to preorder: it launched on PS5 on June 26, 2025, followed by PC on March 19, 2026. This guide looks back at the three PS5 launch editions and their announced prices and preorder incentives, then explains what to check when buying now. Current prices and availability depend on platform and region.
Is Death Stranding 2 still available to preorder?
No. Preorder availability and the advertised 48-hour early access were tied to the game’s 2025 PS5 launch. The PC version followed on March 19, 2026; its pre-purchase period began February 12, 2026. For a current purchase, check the PlayStation Store, Steam or Epic Games Store in your region. Sony’s US PlayStation product page lists the game for PS5 and PC, but its displayed price or discount is specific to that storefront and can change.

What were the preorder bonuses?
For all three PS5 editions, Sony announced the same preorder items: an early unlock of the Quokka hologram and Silver Battle, Boost and Bokka Skeletons at levels 1, 2 and 3. Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Edition included their own additional edition content; their Gold skeletons were edition items, distinct from the Silver skeleton preorder bonuses. These were historical preorder entitlements, not incentives verified for purchases today.
What was in the Collector’s Edition box?
The Collector’s Edition included a digital download code for the game, not an announced game disc. Sony said a voucher code was required to redeem the game and digital bonuses. Physical contents were the Collector’s Box, a 15-inch Magellan Man statue, a 3-inch Dollman figurine, art cards and a letter from Hideo Kojima. If considering a resale copy, verify that the voucher is included and redeemable; the announcement does not establish whether a particular resale code remains unused.
Sony described the edition as limited. It was offered through direct.playstation.com in the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, and Sony also said it would be available through select retailers worldwide. That announcement does not establish present stock in any market.

Which edition should you buy now?
Choose based on the platform you want, the digital extras you value, whether physical collectibles matter to you, and the current price and availability shown by your regional store. The 2025 PS5 launch announcement does not establish current PC edition bonuses or prices, so compare the PC store listing directly rather than applying the PS5 launch terms to PC. On either platform, confirm the exact edition and included content on the purchase page before checkout.
