Pressure Rising is a six-part, free Special Research story in Pokémon GO featuring Volcanion. It began on March 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The Pokémon 30th Anniversary event itself ran March 3–9, but the research is a separate, longer story: Serebii lists its release period through June 2, 2026, and Pokémon GO Hub reports that it does not expire once accessed. Here is the full task-and-reward checklist, with notes where published reward lists differ.

Complete each group to advance through the story. Individual task rewards are shown beside the task; group rewards are listed separately. The task and reward details below are reported by Serebii and Pokémon GO Hub. Their lists differ on a few individual rewards, noted where relevant; check the reward displayed in your game if you need to confirm one of those items.

How Pressure Rising fits the 30th Anniversary event
The Pokémon GO 30th Anniversary event ran March 3–9, 2026, according to Serebii. Its themed Field Research was separate from Pressure Rising. Pokémon’s event announcement listed possible Field Research rewards including Rare Candy, Silver Pinap Berries, Golden Razz Berries, and encounters with Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Magikarp, and Eevee; see the Pokémon announcement. Those anniversary rewards are not part of the Pressure Rising checklist above.
Do the Pressure Rising tasks expire?
Pokémon GO Hub reports that Pressure Rising does not expire once accessed. Serebii lists the story’s release period as March 3–June 2, 2026. That end date describes the listed availability period to access the research, not a deadline to finish it after claiming it.

What happens if you already have Volcanion?
Pokémon GO Hub reports that players who already obtained Volcanion through the 2025 GO Fest exclusive Special Research receive Volcanion Candy instead of the encounter. The documented substitution applies to that specific prior-research case; it should not be assumed for every other way a player might have obtained Volcanion.
