Netflix displays a “Last day to watch on Netflix” notice for titles leaving within the next month; for other services, check the title page and confirm any date with the provider because no single departure-notice policy is established across platforms.
Check the title in the streaming service first
- Open the movie or show’s details page. On Netflix, look for “Last day to watch on Netflix.” Netflix says the notice appears when a title is leaving within the next month. Netflix Help Center explains where to find it.
- Watch for a notice when playback starts. Netflix says the message also appears briefly at the top of the screen when playback begins, for a title leaving within that same next-month window.
- Check the service’s help center if there is no notice. Do not assume the title is staying: the evidence available for other services does not establish a universal alert or warning period. Use a tracker as a cross-check
If you follow titles across several subscriptions, a departures tracker can gather likely upcoming removals in one place. Leaving Soon lists titles across Netflix, Max, Hulu, Prime Video, Disney+, Peacock, and Paramount+, and offers an optional weekly digest. Its list is a helpful lead, not the final authority: verify the title and date in the streaming service itself. Leaving Soon
When checked on October 4, 2026, Leaving Soon reported 727 titles leaving within 30 days, with 200 titles shown in its list. Those figures describe that dated snapshot, not a fixed or complete count; listings can change and may not cover every country or service.
Check the right country and date
Streaming catalogs differ by region, and availability changes over time. Netflix’s help page asks users to select a country for content-specific information, and Netflix says regional popularity is one factor in licensing decisions. Check the country-specific version of the service you use, and treat a tracker’s dates as time-sensitive rather than as a guarantee of the final viewing hour.

If the title has already disappeared
Search for it in a catalog guide such as JustWatch, using provider filters to see where it is currently available. JustWatch also describes a Timeline for new catalog additions and lists new and upcoming titles; its cited information does not promise a complete record of removals or a guaranteed departure-date database. Why streaming titles leave
Netflix says it licenses titles from studios, and some titles leave when licensing agreements expire. It considers whether rights remain available, how popular a title is in a region, and licensing cost. A renewal can keep a title available; if Netflix does not renew, it says it gives viewers a heads-up. This explanation applies to Netflix and should not be treated as every service’s policy.
