Here are seven notable late-2026 entries, with remasters and new platform editions clearly identified.
What games are coming out before GTA 6?
This is an editorial shortlist, not a ranking or a claim that these are the only major games left in 2026. Dates and platforms below are listed in VGC’s late-2026 calendar, updated September 28, 2026; Phantom Blade Zero is also listed by GamesRadar for PS5. Calendar entries can change, so check a game’s official listing before making plans.

Why the phrase “dodge GTA 6” needs a caveat
The listed dates place several games in the weeks before or after GTA VI. That establishes calendar proximity, not why publishers chose those dates. The reviewed calendars do not substantiate the claim that any of these games were moved to avoid competing with GTA VI, so “dodge” is best treated as a question or an industry interpretation—not a confirmed explanation.

When does GTA 6 come out, and where can you play it?
Rockstar announced November 19, 2026, on November 6, 2025, and Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 announcement continued to give that date. The announced launch platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The reviewed publisher materials do not announce a PC version or date; that does not establish that a PC release will never happen. Announced US prices and boxed format
Take-Two’s June 24, 2026 announcement stated a US price of $79.99 for the base game and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. These are announced US prices from that date, not a guarantee of current prices or prices in other regions. The publisher also said the physical version contains a download code inside the box; it should not be described as a disc edition.

How to read the rest of the 2026 calendar
The late-year slate is mixed: it includes upcoming games, a remaster, and platform editions of existing games. VGC and GamesRadar calendars vary in scope and updating practices, and their listings are secondary calendar information rather than official statements for every title. Treat dates and platform details as listings, especially when a game’s exact edition or official naming matters.
