How do AION 2 macros work?
Current Global-focused guides describe creating a skill sequence in the Skills screen, then assigning the Macro action to a key. In that account, the sequence runs while you hold the assigned key and stops when you release it. These are guide-reported instructions; the reviewed sources do not include an official AION 2 macro manual.
- Open the Skills screen with K and use its Macro control to create or edit a sequence.
- Open Settings → Key Settings → General → Gameplay → Macro and assign a key to the Macro action.
- Hold that key to run the sequence, then release it to stop. Test the sequence in the live client, since skill timing can vary.
The guides describe macro steps as hotkeys, with skills arranged in sequence. Check which skills are assigned to each relevant hotkey and their order if the sequence does not behave as expected. One current guide attributes some details to community information or datamining, so treat them as reported behavior rather than official specifications.
What commands does the AION 2 macro support?
The AION 2 sources reviewed support describing an in-game skill-sequence workflow, but they do not verify an AION 2 slash-command language or publish a complete command list. NCSOFT Japan’s Power Wiki macro page lists text commands such as /skill, /use, /target, and /delay. That is legacy Aion documentation; it does not establish that these commands work in AION 2 Global.

How many steps can an AION 2 macro have?
No verified official maximum step count or exact delay bounds are established by the reviewed AION 2 sources. Do not apply character-count or capacity limits from legacy Aion documentation to AION 2. Check current in-client help or official support documentation for a definitive limit if one is published for your client or region.
How should I set macro delays?
Global-focused guides discuss per-step delays but offer different approaches; no single value is established as an official recommendation. Test your sequence in the client, for example on a training dummy. If a step is missed, adjust its delay and compare the result rather than assuming a guide’s setting is universally reliable.

Why does my macro do nothing?
- Confirm you created or edited a macro in Skills (K).
- Confirm that a key is assigned at Settings → Key Settings → General → Gameplay → Macro.
- Check the live client’s hotkey assignments and sequence order if the macro runs but triggers an unexpected ability; guides report that stacked skills on a hotkey can affect which skill is available or fires.
These setup and hotkey observations are reported by secondary guides, not an official troubleshooting manual.
Why does my macro stop after I switch presets?
A Global-focused guide says each of the three skill presets has its own macro and only the active preset’s macro runs. A current community guide also reports that switching presets stops a running macro. If you use multiple presets, configure a macro for each one and restart it after changing presets; confirm the behavior in your client.

Are macros allowed in AION 2?
NCSOFT’s announcements distinguish anti-bot and unauthorized-automation enforcement from ordinary quality-of-life features, but they do not provide a complete rules matrix for every external input tool or macro configuration. Its December 12, 2025 Korean announcement says the company filed a complaint against five users over illegal macro programs and reported 72,621 accounts restricted across 23 rounds of operational-policy enforcement since launch. Those figures are the publisher’s enforcement report, not a measure of how common violations are or evidence that the built-in skill-sequence feature is prohibited.
In an English announcement dated January 28, 2026, NCSOFT said: “To further limit the use of automated gathering macros, the minimum level required to participate in gathering activities has been increased to level 45.” The same announcement described allowing basic-attack cancellation with left- or right-mouse clicks as a skill-use quality-of-life feature. Neither announcement specifies every permitted or prohibited external device or configuration. Consult current official rules before using external automation tools.
