Artifacts in CONTROL Resonant are passive items you craft and equip to tailor a build. This reference gathers the effects and acquisition sources reported in a guide updated September 25, 2026; entries marked unknown or TBA are not confirmed locations, and the listed mechanics have not been independently verified against an official catalog.
How artifacts work
Remedy lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov describes artifacts as “equippable items with passive modifiers that allow you to fine-tune your build.” Their effects can support survivability, combat, exploration, or resource economy, and some attach a condition or drawback to a powerful bonus. You can equip three artifacts on a first playthrough; New Game Plus adds a fourth slot, and artifacts carry into the next run. Remedy’s New Game Plus explanation covers the system.
Most artifacts in the catalog are described as Untapped Artifacts: recipes consumed when formed into usable items. Collect the listed materials and Source, then use the Artifact Formation station in the Gap. PlayStation’s features overview confirms crafting in the Gap, while Remedy says untapped artifacts found in the world can be crafted there.
The guide reports acquisition through missions, side activities, vendors, zone progression, Resonant bosses, and edition bonuses. It also says artifacts cannot be equipped in duplicate families and that unwanted items can be recycled at the formation station for materials. These details, like the specific entries below, are guide-reported rather than independently confirmed.

Compare the trigger and drawback as carefully as the headline percentage. A bonus that activates below 25% Health, after a Perfect Dodge, during Shift, or beside a summoned ally may not help consistently in every encounter. Likewise, increased damage taken or reduced Falter can change the value of a damage or recovery boost.

- For risk-tolerant combat: low-Health effects such as Mother’s Locket or Medical Alert Bands reward staying near the threshold, but rely on maintaining that condition.
- For exploration: Badge 11-60’s reported hazard protection or Catnip Toy’s void-fall reduction may be more relevant than a conditional combat bonus.
- For a damage focus: match damage types such as Sharp, Blunt, Raw, or ability damage to the attacks you use, and account for trade-offs such as lost Falter.
- For sustain or resource flow: consider whether the trigger—executions, dodge, combat ending, or status effect—occurs often enough for your playstyle.
These are build-based interpretations of the reported effects, not tested rankings. The guide leaves Brass Dusters and Scrunchie sources at TBA, notes that some late-zone upgrade artifact sources are still being pinned down, and does not establish that the listed numbers remain unchanged after patches. Remedy’s official post confirms the system and slot rules, but does not publish a complete artifact-by-artifact catalog.
