Its headline bonuses were 2× Candy for catching Pokémon and an increased chance to encounter Shiny Dynamax Hitmonlee and Shiny Dynamax Hitmonchan. Completing a global Max Battle challenge also unlocked additional Pokémon and rewards during the event.
When did the Well Armed event run?
Niantic scheduled Well Armed from Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. through Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Both times were based on each player’s local time. The event is over.

- Increased Candy and Candy XL from Max Battles.
Which Pokémon appeared during Well Armed?
Niantic listed Poliwag, Machop and Makuhita among the possible event-themed wild encounters, and also mentioned Octillery. The official list was not exhaustive. Clobbopus made its Pokémon GO debut during the event; it evolves into Grapploct with 50 Clobbopus Candy. Niantic’s event announcement

What did event Field Research award?
Event Field Research could award Fast TMs, Charged TMs and encounters with event-themed Pokémon, including Dynamax Hitmonlee and Dynamax Hitmonchan. - Catch 10 Fighting-type Pokémon for a Fast TM or Charged TM.
- Power up Pokémon five times for an encounter with Ralts, Tepig or Timburr.
- Win three Max Battles for a Dynamax Hitmonlee or Dynamax Hitmonchan encounter.
- Power up Pokémon 10 times or win a Max Battle for a Clobbopus encounter.
Could players still claim the paid research or ticket box?
No. The event-exclusive Timed Research cost US$1.99 or the equivalent local pricing tier. Its listed rewards included six Rare Candies, three Rare Candy XL and 1,600 Max Particles, among other items. Players had to complete its tasks and claim rewards by December 16, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time; that deadline has passed.
