Participation required a Nintendo Switch Online membership and playing Tetris 99’s online mode. What is Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave?
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a Nintendo Switch 2 game released on 17 September 2026, according to Nintendo’s UK game page. Its story follows four contenders—Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda—in the Heroic Games, contests held in Dagsion, capital of the Dagdan Empire, in tribute to Dagda the Great. The winner is promised one wish. Nintendo describes the battles as turn-based and says players can progress through multiple heroes’ stories in parallel, switching between them between matches.
The game’s wider premise involves the Dagdan Empire facing the threat of the resurrected demon god Balor in 1454, while the time-traveling goddess Fortuna offers a chance to alter the heroes’ fates. That is the game’s story context, rather than an additional condition or plot detail of the Tetris 99 event.
