Sony has confirmed three PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for October 2026: F1 25 for PS5, Hunt: Showdown 1896 for PS5, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 for PS5 and PS4. They are scheduled to be available from Tuesday, October 6, through Monday, November 2. Sony says the lineup may vary by region, so check your local PlayStation Store on release day. When do the October 2026 PS Plus games become available?
Sony gives the availability window as Tuesday, October 6, through Monday, November 2, 2026. The dates are the announced window, not a promise that every regional storefront will switch over at exactly the same time. Sony says the lineup may differ by region and advises checking the local PlayStation Store on release day.
Can PS4 players get any of the October PS Plus games?
Yes. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is listed for both PS4 and PS5. F1 25 and Hunt: Showdown 1896 are listed for PS5 only.

How does the PS Plus offer work?
Sony describes these as Monthly Games for PlayStation Plus members. The announcement does not say that October’s Monthly Games differ between membership tiers. Sony’s US plan overview says Essential includes new games each month, while Extra and Premium include Essential benefits; Extra adds the Game Catalog, and Premium adds game trials, cloud streaming and the Classics Catalog. The Monthly Games are a membership benefit, not an unconditional free offer: Sony’s announcement notes that a recurring subscription fee applies.

Last day to add September’s Monthly Games
Monday, October 5, is the last day Sony gives to add September’s games to a member library: Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes. That deadline is today, October 5, 2026, according to Sony’s announcement.
