Yes. Just Dance: Decades of Hits supports play together on one console, and Ubisoft advertises a maximum of six players. The game is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch on October 13, 2026; Ubisoft lists Nintendo Switch 2 availability from November 10, 2026. Both dates are still in the future as of October 5, 2026.
What you need to play together
- A supported console with Just Dance: Decades of Hits. Ubisoft lists Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Nintendo Switch 2 availability beginning November 10, 2026.
- Controllers supported by the game on your platform. Ubisoft advertises smartphone controller support for Decades of Hits, but its product page does not give a complete platform-by-platform setup guide.
Ubisoft describes the game as supporting up to six players. Treat that as the advertised maximum, not a guarantee that every song or controller arrangement works identically. Ubisoft’s game page provides the player-limit and smartphone-controller information.
How to set up a local session
- Choose a console on which the game is available, then launch Just Dance: Decades of Hits.
- Use the controller option supported for that console. Ubisoft says a smartphone can be used as a controller, but does not publish exact title-specific pairing steps on the game page.
- Follow the game’s on-screen instructions to join the same session and start dancing. Check the in-game instructions or a title-specific Ubisoft support page for exact pairing details once available.
As general control context—not a confirmed setup sequence for Decades of Hits—Ubisoft says Just Dance 2026 Edition supports local play for up to six using Joy-Con controllers on Nintendo Switch, or the free Just Dance Controller App on other available consoles. The editions are separate, so do not assume their menus or controller procedures are identical. Ubisoft’s 2026 Edition description gives that adjacent-edition guidance.
Which console should you use?
Start with the console you already own and check its release timing. Nintendo’s listing gives October 13, 2026, for the Switch release. Ubisoft’s launch announcement also gives October 13 for the initial Switch launch and says Nintendo Switch 2 availability begins November 10, 2026. Those dates are future relative to October 5, 2026.

Ubisoft lists Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for the game, as well as Nintendo Switch 2. The official materials cited here do not establish different same-console player limits by platform, so there is no supported basis for choosing one console over another for a higher local player count.

Local play, online play, and camera controls
The official materials establish same-console play, but they do not settle whether an internet connection or subscription is required for local sessions. They also do not establish online multiplayer requirements, so check the game’s platform store page or in-game guidance for those details.
Do not assume phone-camera tracking is a group mode. Ubisoft describes Camera Controller Mode as solo-only for Just Dance 2026 Edition; that does not confirm the same feature or behavior for Decades of Hits.
