To claim a monthly PlayStation Plus game, open the Monthly Games section on your PS5 or PS4 and select the title. On PS5, choose Download; on PS4, choose Add to Library and then Download. You can also start a download remotely through a web browser or the PlayStation App.
Claim a monthly game on PS5
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Open the Benefits tab and select Monthly Games.
- Highlight the game you want and select Download.
Claim a monthly game on PS4
- From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Scroll down and select Monthly Games.
- Highlight the game and select Add to Library, then Download.
Start a download remotely
PlayStation says you can select a PlayStation Plus game in a web browser or the PlayStation App and start its download to a PS5 or PS4. For the current interface steps, follow PlayStation’s remote-download guidance; the console instructions above do not describe the browser or app button sequence.

What claiming a monthly game means
PlayStation describes monthly games as games members can download and play at no extra cost during their PlayStation Plus membership. New monthly games are added every calendar month, but that does not establish a specific claim deadline for any particular title. Check the current monthly-games listing for your region to see which games are available and when their offer ends.
Monthly Games are separate from the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog. On PlayStation’s US plans page, Monthly Games are listed for Essential, Extra, and Premium; the Game Catalog is included with Extra and Premium, while the Classics Catalog is included with Premium. Catalog games are a separate benefit and may have title-specific availability end dates. See PlayStation Plus games and plans for the US plan details.
