- You would rather meet a new cast in a new setting than revisit the 2001 story.
- The premise of a Japanese town in the 1960s is your main draw.
Silent Hill f follows high-school student Shimizu Hinako in Ebisugaoka. Konami describes it as a new story with new characters and settings, and says it can be enjoyed by newcomers and returning players. The official Silent Hill f portal has the game’s details.

What to know before choosing a platform
Silent Hill 2 remake
Konami says the remake does not support cross-play between PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Its support page also says combat difficulty can be adjusted later, while puzzle difficulty cannot be changed during a playthrough. Check Konami’s support information for the details.
Silent Hill f
Konami’s launch notice confirms digital editions and a physical Day One edition. Availability can vary by region and retailer; check the local store listing before purchase. Konami’s launch announcement describes the editions.

How the newer games fit into the series
Konami reported that Silent Hill f had sold more than one million copies globally within two days of release; that is a publisher-reported milestone in its 2026 group report, not an independent sales audit. The same report said the company was working on a remake of the first Silent Hill game and on Silent Hill: Townfall.
