Spoilers: This guide reveals Storyteller answers, major route choices, and the true ending. The Story Chart unlocks as you progress, but an official exhaustive chapter list and full Storyteller transcript are not published in the available game materials. The chapter names and solutions below are those reported by walkthroughs, so treat them as a practical route guide rather than a complete official index.
How chapter progression works
PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid’s Curse is a supernatural mystery adventure set in Ise-Shima. Its story moves among character perspectives, with panoramic exploration, conversations, clue inspection, files, profiles, deduction, and underwater gathering all contributing to progress. Square Enix describes the Story Chart as unlocking as you select and advance through the story; if a route stalls, revisit scenes and look for details or actions you have missed.

For a practical check, walkthrough advice is to exhaust available dialogue until its checkmarks appear, then review newly added Files, Updates, and Profiles. Some recollection chapters can be triggered during specific conversations. Chapter order is not simply chronological: follow the active character and the chart’s available branches rather than assuming that one timeline tells the whole story.
Chapter names referenced in the route guidance
The walkthrough steps in this guide refer to Point of Contact, The Night, Sato’s Claim, Sato’s Real Name, We Need a Plan, and Conclusion, including Yuza’s Conclusion. These are the named chapters relevant to the reported answers and ending routes here, not a claim that they are every chapter in the game.

Storyteller questions and answers
The publisher’s game materials explain the Story Chart but do not provide a complete transcript of Storyteller prompts. The following question-and-answer pairs are reported by a secondary walkthrough; the mirror answer is identified as a hand mirror by the surrounding chapter context.
| Storyteller prompt | Reported answer |
|---|---|
| “Who is the other 800-year immortal on Kameshima?” | Yuza Minakuchi |
| “Could the curse be using this as a marker?” | The mirror (the hand mirror in context) |
| “The assassin who used the curse to kill so many…” | Kikuko Tsutsui |
| What is Kippei Ikoma’s true identity? | Komatsu Sadamune |
| What is Sato’s other identity? | Taiga no Tomoshige |
| After “The Night”: What can intertwine two lives not meant to stay together? | “Sato Shiranami must once again be made immortal.” |
Route choices and reported endings
Walkthroughs describe five non-true outcomes before the meta-puzzle route to the true ending. Their labels and some step-by-step details differ, so use the chapter names and choices below to navigate, and check the in-game chart rather than treating third-party labels as official canonical names.

| Route or outcome | Reported route direction |
|---|---|
| The Tragedy of Kameshima | Progress through Yuza’s timeline and then Sato’s. During the Kameshima crisis, surrender to Kikuko after the culprit is revealed. |
| Arnav outcomes | The hand-mirror choice and whether you keep or discard Ikoma’s business card affect the route setup. Later decisions in Sato’s Claim and Arnav’s episode determine the outcome. |
| Taira no Tomoshige’s Desire | In Sato’s Real Name, choose to obey Tomoshige. |
| Curse of Sato | Refuse Tomoshige, set up the countermeasure in We Need a Plan, then choose the reported option in Conclusion to continue this branch. |
| True ending: An Eternal Conclusion | Complete the cross-interface clue sequence, then return to Yuza’s Conclusion and choose “Actually…” at the Bay. |
How to unlock An Eternal Conclusion
The true-ending route is a meta-puzzle: its reported steps move between chapters, the save/load screen, the dialogue log, and the title screen. Walkthroughs agree on the central sequence but differ in some route details, so this is a reported guide rather than a guarantee for every progress state or game update.
- Open the additional save. After reaching the necessary route progress, go to the Load screen and load the extra faded save slot at the bottom. This reveals the Mermaid’s Memory.
- Use the scale in Sato’s Claim. Return to the relevant Sato’s Claim chapter. From Minakuchi Residence, inspect the Altar Shelf and place the scale in the Tamatebako.
- Read the hidden message. Check the dialogue or chat log for the message revealed by that action.
- Enter the title-screen clue. Return to the title screen and click the mermaid four times, waiting roughly three seconds between clicks. When asked, enter Yuza.
- Finish the conversation and return to Conclusion. Exhaust the reported dialogue options with Sobae, then load Yuza’s Conclusion and resume from the Bay. Choose “Actually…” to access An Eternal Conclusion.
One walkthrough also includes picking up the Kameshimaru keychain in Point of Contact and describes reading hidden rules after placing the scale. Because the walkthroughs differ on details, consult the chart and the game’s newly revealed clues if the sequence above does not activate the final choice.

When the Story Chart appears stuck
- Return to the active character’s scene and inspect every point of interest, including objects that may seem like background details.
- Continue every available conversation option until the dialogue checkmarks appear.
- Read new Files, Updates, and Profiles; clues and character relationships can matter beyond the scene where they were discovered.
- Check other unlocked perspectives or recollection chapters. A missing action in one branch can block progress elsewhere.
- Revisit the Story Chart after completing a clue or conversation; it expands progressively rather than presenting every route at the start.
