If Nintendo Music downloads won’t play offline, connect your device to the internet and leave the app open for about 30 minutes. Android users can keep it running in the background; iPhone and iPad users must keep it in the foreground and prevent the device from sleeping. If only certain songs fail, play each affected track online before trying it offline again. These are Nintendo’s documented troubleshooting steps.
First, confirm you’re using the Nintendo Music app
Offline playback is available in the mobile app only when you download music in advance. Nintendo’s web version does not support offline playback. If you’re using the web version, switch to the app, connect to the internet, and download the music before going offline. See Nintendo’s offline-playback FAQ.
If a support code appears, refresh the downloads
Nintendo says downloaded tracks can expire after an extended period offline. Its support article identifies code 9009-2201 for Android and 9010-2101 for iOS. Connect to the internet, launch Nintendo Music, and leave the app running for around 30 minutes. The required app behavior differs by platform:

If only some tracks won’t play offline
While connected to the internet, play each affected track. Then disconnect and try that same track offline. Nintendo recommends refreshing the specific track this way when the problem affects only selected songs.
If you’re on Android app version 1.7
Nintendo separately warns that Android users may be unable to play downloaded tracks offline after updating to version 1.7, even if they regularly connect to the internet. Its stated troubleshooting attempt is the Android procedure above: connect, launch the app, and leave it running for around 30 minutes. The app can remain in the background during that time.

When to contact Nintendo
If the applicable steps do not restore offline playback, contact Nintendo Music Support. Nintendo’s cited instructions do not recommend reinstalling the app, clearing its cache, changing storage settings, or buying hardware as fixes, so those actions should not be treated as established remedies.
