The clue appears in two Haunting Elegance Star Path duties: one asks you to hang out with Sally, and the other asks you to give her a favorite gift.
How to complete the hang-out duty
- Find Sally in the Valley and speak with her.
- Choose “Let’s hang out!”
- Spend 30 minutes with her. The Destructoid guide says the activity you do during that time does not matter; completing the duty awards 20 event tokens. Destructoid’s October 5, 2026 guide gives these steps.
How to complete the favorite-gift duty
Give Sally one of the items she has requested as a favorite gift that day. To check which items qualify, use the conversation option for giving her something, or look under The Nightmare Before Christmas on the Collection page. The duty awards 20 event tokens, according to the Destructoid guide.
Why the clue points to Sally
“Patchwork” refers to Sally’s ragdoll construction: in the film, she sews parts of her body back together. The clue does not point to a different villager; the guide identifies Sally as the match.
Event timing
The community-maintained Haunting Elegance Star Path page lists the event as running from September 23 through December 8, 2026, and includes both patchwork-villager duties at 20 tokens each. Event dates and requirements can change with updates, so check the in-game Star Path if the duties are no longer available.
