Mojang design lead Laura de Llorens described talismans as “passive boosts” in the Official Xbox Podcast. Xbox Wire’s hands-on preview showed three talisman slots and an example bone that summons a dog companion. Those official materials confirm the system, not every item or its acquisition details.
The 24-item count and routes below come from launch-week community guides published or checked in October 2026. Treat the catalog as a reported launch list rather than a permanent or official drop table, and check the item description in your current game for exact effect values.

The secret route reportedly requires collecting all eight of these hidden talismans. Some depend on a particular generated room or wall layout, so a location may not be available in every run.

If you are searching for one of those and the described room or wall is absent, try another run rather than assuming you missed a fixed chest.
The ninth secret item: Wonderful Wheat
After you have collected all eight hidden talismans, launch-week guides report that a secret route opens in Howling Woods. Defeat the hidden boss Mosstrosity to receive Wonderful Wheat, which the guide says summons a llama companion. The eight hidden finds are the key to opening this route; Wonderful Wheat is the reported reward for completing it.

Choosing what to equip
With three slots, choose effects that fit the build or problem you are trying to solve rather than following a universal ranking. The reported effects fall into several practical groups:
- Damage: Fist of Iron boosts melee damage; Tendrils of the Sprout adds damage while you are above a health threshold.
- Survivability and recovery: Sigil of Beeswax increases maximum health, Healing Heart restores health after time out of combat, and Wobblestone summons a healing companion.
- Cooldown and mobility: Essence of Efficiency reduces artifact cooldown, while Armadillo Amulet reduces roll cooldown.
- Loot and progression: Looter’s Charm improves enemy loot-drop chances, Twisted Tooth increases souls gained, and The Eye of Experience increases experience gained.
- Companions and utility: Tasty Bone, Golem Kit, Prickle’s Mark, and Wonderful Wheat summon companions; Twig of Dark Oak increases ammo capacity, and Sculk Badge extends positive-status duration.
These are effect categories, not a claim that one talisman is best for every build. Consider whether you need damage, staying power, cooldown reduction, progression, or a companion before spending a slot.
