All 30 Tenets of Akarat are found in Nahantu, the region added with Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred. They are split evenly across six regions, with five in each. To claim one, follow its local puzzle: some require a statue sequence, while others call for defeating Shades of Hatred or clearing corrupting vines.
You need to own Vessel of Hatred to access its campaign and Nahantu content, according to Blizzard’s launch guide. The routes below follow the region names and landmarks in Gamer Guides’ all-30 location guide; check its map images when you need the exact shrine position.
Where are all 30 Tenets of Akarat?
Gamer Guides lists five Tenets in each of Nahantu’s six regions: Lingering Hatred, Seven Stones, Five Hills, Restless Canopy, Field of Giants, and Teganze Plateau. The list below is grouped by region, not by a required collection order. Use the region shown on your in-game map if its naming or boundaries are easier to follow there.
Lingering Hatred
- Flayer Jungle: From Kurast Docks, leave west and follow the route to Festering Sink Cellar. Go south, then take the second path east. At the large tree, interact with the smaller statues in this order: Left, Right, Center.
- Blighted Verge: From the docks, leave south along the twisting paths to the reddish area. Continue southeast to the chasm and leaning tree, interact with the shrine, and defeat the Shades of Hatred.
- Yuke-Lih River: Continue southeast from Blighted Verge, cross the stone bridge, and take the second path east. Attack the vines at the shrine.
- The Sunless Holt: From The Den waypoint, follow the path west to the fallen tree.
- Spider Forest: From the previous location, head northwest to the northern part of the map, then west to the large tree. Activate the statues Bottom, Center, Top.
Seven Stones
- East Spiritcall Forest: From Samuk, go north into Seven Stones, then east to the stream. Follow it north to a waterfall and use the statue on the right.
- West Spiritcall Forest: From Samuk, head north past the dungeon, then northwest to the small ruin. Activate the statues Center, Left, Right.
- Resting Void: From Samuk, go north and then east to the far side. Continue north and west into the cave; activate the statues Right, Left, Center.
- Northwest Nether Valley: From Samuk, head north and follow the northern edge west to the small northwest area. Defeat the Shades of Hatred.
- Northeast Nether Valley: From Samuk, go north and northeast through Flowing Tears, then north past Caverns of the Silent Cries to the cliff path. Attack the vines, then interact with the Tenet.
Five Hills
- Lower Kurast: From Kurast, take the southwest exit and cross the center of Lower Kurast. Continue south to the garden of the ruined house and attack the vines.
- Vale of the Long Mists: From Kurast, travel southwest through Lower Kurast and follow the southern route to the end of the stream.
- The Tangles: From Samuk, exit northeast. Travel east, southeast, north, then west to the large tree. Activate the statues Bottom, Top, Center.
- The Clouded Forest: From Samuk, follow the southern wall east to the far southeast corner. Activate the statues Left, Center, Right.
- Reflection’s Edge: From Samuk, exit northeast and follow the southern twisting routes around the fogged story area, then head southwest. Look near the water against the northern wall.
Restless Canopy
- Diregloom Jungle: From Kurast, exit south and go southeast. Take the third path north, then continue northeast to the torch-lit enclosure. Attack the vines.
- Northeast Skittering Earth: From the Fields of Giants waypoint, travel west into Restless Canopy, then north. Activate the statues Center, Left, Right.
- West Skittering Earth: From the waypoint, travel through Viz-jun and exit south. Follow the route toward the western wall and green area; activate the statues Left, Center, Right.
- The Underbrush: From the waypoint, go south to Oka’bo Temple and circle toward its entrance. Search southwest among the ruins and defeat the Shades of Hatred.
- Pestilence: From the Fields of Giants waypoint, go west and follow the southern route to the southeast corner. Activate the three statues quickly.
Field of Giants
- South Beast Fate Wilderness: From the waypoint, take the southern or southwestern path and climb down. Follow the left wall, activate the statue, and defeat the Shades of Hatred.
- East Beast Fate Wilderness: From the waypoint, take the eastern route northeast to the Healing Well. Look in the swamp water by the western wall.
- Carrion’s Cradle: From the waypoint, go north, backtrack south, then travel southeast and south to the swamp beneath the curved eastern wall. Activate the statues Right, Left, Back Left.
- Monster Fells: From Carrion’s Cradle, go west to the wall, then north to the cliff corner. Use the far-right statue.
- Hesa Tu: From Monster Fells, go south and take the first western path through the open gate. Descend the slope and activate the statues Right, Back Left, Front Left.
Teganze Plateau
- Seram Trails: From The Den, head northeast into Teganze Plateau, then go south, west, and south again to the lower area by a climb point. Attack the vines.
- Dueling Rivers: From Kichuk Stronghold, exit west and go southwest to a climb point, then head north to the waterfall. Defeat the Shades of Hatred.
- Kehjan Pinnacles: From Kichuk, exit southwest, then go south and east to a climb point. Activate the statues Right, Center, Left.
- Bloodstained Heights: From Kichuk, exit southwest and take the first path north, then head southwest to the cliff. The statue order reported in Gamer Guides is uncertain; if it does not work, use the nearby clues and try the left statue first, which the guide suggests as a possible starting point.
- The Great Shelf: From The Den, head northeast into Teganze Plateau, go south past Seram Trails, then southeast. Activate the statues Left, Center, Right.
How Tenet puzzles work
Do not assume every shrine uses the same interaction. Depending on the location, you may need to activate nearby statues in a particular order, defeat Shades of Hatred, or attack vines before interacting with the Tenet. GamesRadar describes nearby Stone Guardians and beacons as a common way to clear corruption, but the tasks vary by shrine. Check the immediate area and follow its clues; use the location-specific directions above for the known sequence or objective.

Gamer Guides flags Bloodstained Heights’ order as potentially accidental rather than guaranteed, so treat that sequence as a clue rather than a fixed solution. If a claimed Tenet is hard to remember, GamesRadar reports that it is added to your map after claiming it.

Gamer Guides distinguishes Tenets from Altars of Lilith: Tenets are regional collectibles with small puzzles, but they do not grant attribute bonuses. Wowhead reports 10 Nahantu Renown per statue and says completing all 30 awards the Reins of the Nahantu Lion and the titles “Akarat’s” and “Dedicant.” Another guide gives a different second title, “Disciple,” so the exact title text is not consistent across guides; check the reward display in game.
