Both of Celeste’s missing journals are on Dam Battlegrounds: one is in the small entrance room at South Swamp Outpost, and the other is in a shelter at Raider Outpost East, the northern outpost overlooking Red Lakes. Retrieve both in the same round, extract, then deliver them to Celeste in Speranza.
Where to find the first journal: South Swamp Outpost
South Swamp Outpost is in the western-to-southwestern part of Dam Battlegrounds, southwest of Hydroponic Dome Complex and north of the Water Towers.
- Enter the main cylindrical outpost structure.
- Check the small room beside the structure’s entrance.
- Search the yellow-marked bed to collect the journal.
Where to find the second journal: Raider Outpost East
Raider Outpost East is in the northeast of Dam Battlegrounds, east or northeast of Power Generation Complex. It is the northern outpost overlooking Red Lakes named in the quest text.
- Go inside the outpost’s small shelter.
- Search the bed for the second journal.
How to complete Celeste’s Journals
The quest database labels both retrieval objectives “IN ONE ROUND,” followed by the objective to deliver two journals to Celeste. You need to retrieve both journals and extract during the same raid; collecting one per raid will not complete the retrieval requirement.
#1 Best Overall
- At the start of the raid, check which outpost is closer to your spawn and head there first.
- Mark the other outpost and plan a direct route to it. There is no single best order for every spawn, and travel involves exposure to ARC and other raiders.
- Put each journal in a safe pocket if you have one available. This can reduce the chance of losing it, but does not change the one-round requirement.
- After collecting both journals, extract from Dam Battlegrounds.
- Return to Celeste in Speranza and turn in the two journals.
Celeste’s Journals rewards
The community quest wiki lists the rewards as one Magnetic Accelerator, three Heavy Gun Parts, and one Exodus Module. This is a community database listing rather than an official reward confirmation.
