The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has 127 Echoes to discover, including objects and enemies. For a missing Echo, start with the in-game Notebook, then use the location guide below as a set of known places to check—not a guarantee that an Echo appears only at the listed spot. The locations and initial Tri Energy costs are drawn from Nintendo Life’s guide, published October 11, 2024.
The Notebook is available from the main menu and can also be opened while learning an Echo or cycling through the inventory. Nintendo recommends sorting the list by Last Used, Most Used, Last Learned, Cost, or Type. These tools make it easier to find a known Echo or spot gaps in your collection.
How Echoes and the Notebook work
Echoes let Zelda reproduce learned objects and enemies. Their usefulness depends on the problem at hand: an enemy Echo may help in combat, while an object Echo can assist with traversal or a puzzle. Nintendo’s official advice encourages experimenting and directing monster Echoes at targets by holding ZL, rather than treating one Echo as best for every situation.
Tri Energy limits how many Echoes can be active at once. If more room is needed, the game can disperse an Echo. Costs and availability can change as you progress, so the costs in the location list are initial costs, not fixed values for every point in the game.

Use the Notebook to check your collection
- Open the main menu and choose the Notebook to review learned Echoes.
- Sort by Last Learned to find recent discoveries, or by Type, Cost, Last Used, or Most Used to narrow the list.
- When learning an Echo or cycling the inventory, open the Notebook there to check its entry without relying on memory.
Nintendo’s official tips page reproduces this Spear Moblin Notebook entry: “A brutish monster found all over Hyrule. Its hurled spears can reach even high-up targets.” The description illustrates why a monster’s role and reach can matter as much as its cost.
All Echo locations and initial Tri Energy costs
Nintendo Life’s 2024 list reports 127 Echoes and records names, known regions or locations, acquisition notes, and initial Tri Energy costs. Its locations are practical acquisition points: some Echoes appear in multiple places, and the guide may record the first location its authors spotted. Use the game’s Notebook to confirm what you have learned, and treat any location entry as a place to check rather than an exclusive spawn.

Choosing an Echo for a fight, puzzle, or route
There is no single Echo that is best in every situation. Choose according to what the task demands, and factor in the initial Tri Energy cost and when you can obtain the Echo. A useful comparison is:

- Combat: Consider what an enemy can do and whether it can reach the target. Nintendo’s Spear Moblin description, for example, highlights its ability to hit high-up targets.
- Traversal or puzzles: Look for an Echo that addresses the specific obstacle or interaction rather than choosing solely by combat strength.
- Energy budget: An Echo’s listed initial cost can affect how many you can keep active. Costs may differ later, so use the Notebook and current in-game behavior to guide your choice.
- Availability: A powerful option is only useful if you have reached a place where it can be learned; consult the location list for known acquisition points.
In combat, hold ZL to direct monster Echoes toward a target. If the energy limit becomes a constraint, plan which Echoes matter most for the immediate encounter; the game can disperse one when space is needed.

Accessories are a separate collection
Accessories are not Echoes. Nintendo Life reports 28 accessories in its November 4, 2024 guide, with effects and unlock requirements that vary. For example, the Ancient Charm reduces damage and is tied to the “Let’s Play a Game” side quest, which involves the Eastern Temple and its boss. Amiibo rewards are optional
Nintendo Support says Legend of Zelda series amiibo can provide optional rewards such as smoothie ingredients or variant outfits. They are not required to learn or locate Echoes. The game is a Nintendo Switch title; see Nintendo’s product page for its platform information and Nintendo Support’s amiibo information for the optional rewards.
