This guide identifies the documented enemy types, what sets them apart, and where newer additions fit. The roster below combines a September 2025 inventory with official updates through October 1, 2026; it is not a claim that every enemy appears in every mode.
How to read the enemy roster
Most of the familiar roster belongs to either the Tyranids or the Thousand Sons. Enemy appearances depend on the mode and mission: a unit listed for Operations should not be assumed to appear in Campaign, PvP, or every other activity. The inventory below uses a guide updated September 9, 2025 for many established enemy roles, then adds later official announcements where they document new content.
Patch 15, released October 1, 2026, also introduced Chaos Siege Mode, which changes the usual PvE matchup: players can control Heretic Astartes and face Tyranids, Cadians, and loyalist Space Marines on Avarax. Cultists and a Helbrute support Chaos in that mode. These participants are specific to the Siege context, not a universal enemy list. Focus Entertainment’s Patch Notes 15.0
Tyranid enemies
The Tyranids range from numerous lesser organisms to stealth attackers and large boss-class threats. The roles and behaviors in this table reflect the September 2025 roster guide; later official updates establish additional appearances for the Biovore. | Enemy | Role | Documented appearance | Signature threat | Practical response |

| Hormagaunts | Close-range swarm | Listed in the September 2025 roster; exact mode appearances vary. | Fast melee pressure in numbers. | Keep the swarm from surrounding you; use area attacks or melee control when several close in. |
| Tyranid Warriors | Elite infantry | Listed in the September 2025 roster; exact mode appearances vary. | A tougher combatant than the basic swarm organisms. | Prioritize the Warrior when it is disrupting your ability to clear smaller enemies, and focus attacks rather than spreading damage. |
| Spore Mines | Explosive threat | Listed in the September 2025 roster; exact mode appearances vary. | Explodes near players, making close contact dangerous. | Destroy it from range when possible and avoid letting it drift into your group. |
| Ripper Swarms | Swarm | Listed in the September 2025 roster; exact mode appearances vary. | Small organisms that add close-quarters pressure. | Clear them when they crowd your position, especially before committing to a heavier enemy. |
| Gargoyles | Ranged/airborne swarm | Listed in the September 2025 roster; exact mode appearances vary. | Attacks from above can distract from ground threats. | Look up and deal with them rather than letting them chip away while you focus elsewhere. |
| Zoanthropes | Ranged specialist | Listed in the September 2025 roster; exact mode appearances vary. | Psychic ranged attacks. | Prioritize accurate ranged damage and use cover or movement to reduce exposure. |
| Lictors | Stealth attacker | Listed in the September 2025 roster; exact mode appearances vary. | Ambushes and sudden close attacks. | Stay alert to its approach and be ready to interrupt or evade when it commits to an attack. |
| Raveners | Disruptive melee attacker | Listed in the September 2025 roster; exact mode appearances vary. | Burrowing and sudden attacks that can break up a team’s formation. | Watch for its emergence and regroup rather than pursuing blindly when it disappears. |
| Carnifex | Boss/Terminus threat | Listed in the September 2025 roster; also cited among Terminus-class enemies in Operations in July 2026. | A large, durable melee threat. | Keep space, dodge its committed attacks, and attack during recovery windows. |
| Neurothrope | Boss/Terminus threat | Listed in the September 2025 roster; cited among Terminus-class enemies in Operations in July 2026. | A large psychic threat that pressures players at range. | Move out of dangerous attack areas and concentrate ranged fire when an opening appears. |
| Hive Tyrant | Boss | Listed in the September 2025 roster; exact mode appearances vary. | A major, durable enemy with dangerous close-range attacks. | Coordinate focus fire, avoid standing in its attack path, and use openings after its attacks. |
| Biovore | Walking artillery beast | Introduced as an enemy in Tyranid Operations missions on February 6, 2025; added to the Battle Simulator enemy list in Patch 15 on October 1, 2026. | Artillery support from a Tyranid organism. | Identify and pressure it rather than allowing its ranged support to continue unchecked. |
Warhammer Community announced the Biovore as an Operations enemy on February 6, 2025, describing it as a walking artillery beast. Patch 15 later specifically added it to the Battle Simulator enemy list; that note does not establish its appearance in every other mode. Warhammer Community’s Biovore announcement · Patch Notes 15.0
Thousand Sons and other Chaos enemies
The September 2025 roster guide lists the following Thousand Sons forces and larger Chaos threats. Its mode notes are dated; later official information specifically adds the Sorcerer to Operations. Chaos Siege Mode, meanwhile, introduces playable Heretic Astartes and a distinct mix of opposing forces.

| Helbrute | Heavy melee/ranged threat | Listed in the September 2025 roster; cited among Terminus-class enemies in Operations in July 2026; supports Chaos in Siege Mode. | A large, dangerous combatant. | Maintain room to evade its attacks and concentrate fire during openings. |

Patch 15’s Chaos Siege Mode is a distinct PvE setup on Avarax, not simply another entry in the older Tyranid-versus-Thousand-Sons list. Players can take the role of Heretic Astartes and fight Tyranids, Cadians, and loyalist Space Marines across two Siege sectors. Cultists and a Helbrute provide Chaos support. The same patch also adds the Biovore to the Battle Simulator enemy list, a separate appearance from its Operations introduction.
