Nintendo’s classic-games access guide explains that the relevant library software is downloaded from the Nintendo Switch Online menu or eShop and requires an active membership of the appropriate type. The games can be played offline, but the console must connect online to verify membership at least once every seven days, according to Nintendo Support.

No. Nintendo Support says, “There is no set schedule for new releases, but each collection will continue to grow.” The 2025 additions therefore should be read as dated releases, not as a monthly calendar. Nintendo also says it has no plans to make these classic games available outside the Nintendo Switch Online service, so the listed additions are accessed through the subscription libraries rather than sold individually.
