How to get your first horse
- Start the Wishblossom Ranch expansion story and begin A Wishful Invitation.
- Progress through the quest until you receive the customizable Wishblossom Horse. TheGamer’s guide describes this as the first-horse unlock: How to Get a Horse in Wishblossom Ranch.
- Customize and name the horse when prompted. This is your player horse; the other named mounts are separate story or edition unlocks.
Which horses need story progress?
Maximus, Khan, and Pegasus are story-progression mounts. The available guides identify them as unlockable in the expansion but do not establish a reliable full quest chain for each. Continue the Wishblossom Ranch main story and follow the active quest objectives rather than relying on an unverified quest sequence. Gameloft says the complete main story is available from launch, rather than being split into later story acts: official Wishblossom Ranch showcase recap.
How Sven’s Deluxe Edition unlock works
Sven has two conditions to keep separate: the official listing includes him as an exclusive mount with Wishblossom Ranch Deluxe Edition, and a guide reports that he becomes available in-game after Reindeer Are Better Than People. Owning the standard expansion alone does not include the Deluxe bonus. Gameloft lists the edition contents on its official expansion page.
Do you need the Deluxe Edition to get the other horses?
No Deluxe requirement is stated for the customizable Wishblossom Horse, Maximus, Khan, or Pegasus; they are described as the opening or story mounts. Sven is the explicitly identified Deluxe-exclusive mount. Gameloft’s Help Center says three Disney horses are available to unlock at launch; that count refers to the named Disney horses, not the customizable player horse or the Deluxe bonus: How many horses are available to unlock?

The official expansion page lists Wishblossom Ranch at 5,000 Moonstones and Deluxe Edition at 10,000 Moonstones, and says the base game is required. These are the page’s listed amounts and may vary with platform, region, or later store changes. Deluxe also includes a snowy alpine house style and an Arendellian riding ensemble, in addition to Sven.
