DIG modifiers change the sale value of dug-up items and often change how those items look. The term is not used consistently: guides may call them “mutations” or “modifications,” and some list size and shine separately from other effects. Below is a dated multiplier reference—not a guaranteed current roster—plus examples of how modifiers have been obtained and what remains uncertain.
What counts as a modifier in DIG?
Older guides split modifiers into two groups: size and shine attributes, such as Big, Tiny, or Shiny, and other mutations, such as Celestial or Golden. Those guides also identify whether an item is appraisable, a useful property distinct from its sale-value multiplier. Because the labels and categories vary between guides, the table below preserves the categories used by Beebom rather than combining them into one supposedly definitive list.
The values are from Beebom’s table, updated July 16, 2025. They are historical guide figures, not independently verified live-game values. A community-maintained DIG Roblox Wiki result crawled in 2026 shows materially different attribute multipliers and names, including Nullified, Heavenly, and Voidbound. No dated official change log establishes which list is current. Check the item’s value and available modifiers in the live game.
Size and shine multipliers
Beebom marks each of these attributes as appraisable. The multipliers below are from its July 16, 2025 guide table.

Other mutation multipliers
These are selected entries in Beebom’s July 16, 2025 guide, not a complete or confirmed current roster. The source’s table also includes lower-value entries such as Noir, Windforce, Galactic, and Fossilized.
| Mutation | Sale-value multiplier |
|---|---|
| Chromatic | 5.5x |
| Celestial | 4x |
| Iridescent | 3.5x |
| Supernova | 2.7x |
| Greedy | 2.7x |
| Golden | 2.5x |
| Tasty | 2x |
| Piggy | 2x |
| Awkward | 2x |
| Noir | 1.9x |
| Windforce | 1.8x |
| Galactic | 1.8x |
| Fossilized | 1.6x |
For context, Pro Game Guides’ June 30, 2025 table broadly agrees with Beebom on several highlighted figures, including Chromatic at 5.5x, Celestial at 4x, Iridescent at 3.5x, Supernova and Greedy at 2.7x, and Golden at 2.5x. Agreement between two dated guides does not make those values an official current roster.

How to get mutations
Older guide tables associate modifiers with several different routes: ordinary digging, appraisal, particular shovels or other equipment, and timed events. The examples below describe those guides’ associations, not a guarantee that a method or event is available now.
| Modifier or group | Source or method reported by older guides | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Celestial | Starfire Shovel or Celestial Totem | Equipment association in the dated guide; verify current effects in-game. |
| Chromatic | Prismatic Magnet or Prismatic Domino Crown may boost the odds | Reported as an odds boost, not a guaranteed result. |
| Iridescent | Prismatic Shovel or Prismatic Magnet | Equipment association in the dated guide; verify current effects in-game. |
| Golden | Gold Digger | Equipment association in the dated guide; verify current effects in-game. |
| Tasty | Shortcake Shovel | Equipment association in the dated guide; verify current effects in-game. |
| Supernova, Greedy, Windforce, Piggy, Clawed, and Disco | Timed events | Event availability may have ended or changed; check the live game before pursuing one. |
Guides also describe acquisition through digging and appraisal, as well as through charms, enchantments, magnets, and totems. The available source information does not establish a current, complete method for every listed modifier, so treat a particular item’s in-game description and current event status as the practical check.

Can mutations stack in DIG?
The available guides conflict. Pro Game Guides says an item receives only one mutation. The community wiki distinguishes stackable attributes from modifications and notes an exception involving Shiny. The sources may be using different category definitions or may describe different game states; whether modifiers currently stack is unverified. Do not assume two multipliers combine unless the live game demonstrates that they do.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why do multiplier lists disagree?
The discrepancy is substantial, not just a naming difference. Beebom’s July 2025 guide gives Shiny as 3x, Gargantuan as 4.5x, Titanic as 3.5x, Big as 1.5x, and Small as 0.9x. The community-maintained wiki result crawled in 2026 instead reports Shiny at 2x, Gargantuan at 2.25x, Titanic at 2x, Big at 1.25x, and Small at 0.8x. It also includes newer names such as Nullified, Heavenly, and Voidbound.
