In WoW Classic: Season of Discovery, Warrior runes are tied to equipment slots and can be acquired through discovery routes or purchased from Rune Brokers in race main cities. The Warrior guide marked Patch 1.15.8 and updated March 4, 2025 lists runes for belt, boots, bracer, chest, cloak, gloves, helm, and legs; it treats ring runes separately. This is the list for the slots covered on the Warrior page, not a complete inventory of ring runes. Blizzard’s Phase 4 announcement introduced new cloak and ring gear slots and raised the level cap from 50 to 60, so older phase-one lists do not cover the later slots.
Where can you buy Warrior runes?
Wowhead describes Rune Brokers in each race’s main city as a purchase option for Class Runes and Class Skill Books. The guide lists these locations and coordinates:

The guide gives Darnassus and Ironforge the same map identifier and coordinates, so verify those two waypoints in game rather than relying on them as definitive. Vendor stock and game details can change; these locations reflect the guide’s stated Patch 1.15.8 listing.
Skill books are not runes
The guide separately identifies Milton Sheaf in Stormwind and Zor Lonetree in Orgrimmar as vendors for skill books from all phases. It lists the Handbook of Commanding Shout among the books. These are Class Skill Books, not additional entries in the rune inventory.

Should you buy a rune or pursue its discovery?
A Rune Broker offers a direct in-game purchase route; the discovery route lets you experience the rune’s intended exploration or quest steps. The sources provide no reliable time or cost comparison, so the choice is about convenience versus the discovery experience—and whether you want to avoid a possible progression snag.
- Consider buying if you want the rune without following its world route and are comfortable with the guide’s warning about possible quest or discovery issues.
- Consider discovering it if you want to complete the original acquisition steps or preserve the associated exploration experience.
Wowhead cautions that some world discoveries and rune-related quests may not function properly if you learned the related rune ability from a purchased vendor item. That warning is not stated to apply to every rune. If you want to complete a particular discovery, read that rune’s individual guide before buying it; the exact route and the risk can vary by rune.

How do Warrior runes fit into Season of Discovery?
Blizzard’s official Season of Discovery launch announcement describes Rune Engraving as a system that lets players apply and remove abilities while experimenting with builds: “Rune engraving will allow players to apply and remove abilities at will as they experiment with different builds to create a truly unique play experience.” The slot-based list above helps identify which runes are available for the gear you are considering, while the acquisition choice determines whether you use a broker or pursue a discovery.
