Amazon Prime Gaming’s 14 Free PC Games for December 2025: Full List, Dates, and Storefronts

December 18: Bō, Gunslugs 2, Ashworld, and Collection Three

December 18 was the largest wave by offer count, with four titles:

• Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus — GOG: A hand-drawn action-adventure inspired by Japanese folklore, with acrobatic movement and a mythological setting. It was the most prominent modern indie action game in the middle wave.
• Gunslugs 2 — GOG: A fast-paced arcade-style action game.
• Ashworld — GOG: A retro-styled action title suited to players who enjoy older-looking or deliberately minimalist PC games.
• Forgotten Realms: The Archives – Collection Three — GOG: The final Archives compilation, containing two games.

December 23: Fallout and Fallout 2

Amazon added the first two mainline classic Fallout RPGs on December 23:

• Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game — GOG
• Fallout 2 — GOG

These are historically important isometric role-playing games, with turn-based combat, extensive dialogue, exploration, and systems that differ substantially from the later first-person Fallout games. Their inclusion also aligned with Amazon Prime Video’s promotion around Season Two of Fallout.

Do not confuse these two downloadable GOG offers with Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, which appeared separately in Luna’s cloud catalog during December.

December 30: Deus Ex, Dreamscaper, and Living Legends

The final wave arrived on December 30:

• Deus Ex: Mankind Divided — Epic Games Store: The most recognizable modern narrative stealth/action RPG in the final batch, with a cyberpunk setting and multiple approaches to missions.
• Dreamscaper — Epic Games Store: An action-roguelite for players who prefer repeatable runs and combat-focused progression.
• Living Legends: The Crystal Tear Collector’s Edition — Amazon Games App: A casual adventure title delivered through Amazon’s own PC launcher.

Because this wave arrived at the end of the month, it should not be treated as evidence of a universal January 1 expiration date. Amazon’s announcement confirmed the release date, but an exact claim deadline needed to be checked on the individual offer page.

What is included in the Forgotten Realms collections?

The Archives bundles are the easiest part of the list to underestimate. Amazon counted each collection as one offer, but together the three packages contain 13 individual games.

Collection One: the Eye of the Beholder trilogy

Forgotten Realms: The Archives – Collection One contains:

1. Eye of the Beholder
2. Eye of the Beholder II: The Legend of Darkmoon
3. Eye of the Beholder III: Assault on Myth Drannor

This is a retro first-person, real-time Dungeons & Dragons RPG package. It is a good match for players who enjoy grid-based dungeon exploration and old-school party management, but its interfaces and design assumptions are considerably older than those of modern RPGs.

Collection Two: eight classic Forgotten Realms games

Collection Two includes:

1. Pool of Radiance
2. Curse of the Azure Bonds
3. Hillsfar
4. Secret of the Silver Blades
5. Pools of Darkness
6. Gateway to the Savage Frontier
7. Treasures of the Savage Frontier
8. Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures

These games cover Gold Box-style party-based and turn-based role-playing, along with related real-time experiences. They offer a large amount of historical D&D content, but readers should expect dated presentation, manuals or documentation, and systems that may take time to learn.

Collection Three: Dungeon Hack and Menzoberranzan

Collection Three contains:

1. Dungeon Hack
2. Menzoberranzan

Dungeon Hack focuses on procedurally generated dungeon crawling, while Menzoberranzan is a more story-driven Forgotten Realms RPG. The collection’s product description provides additional context for the two games, although the December Prime redemption itself was for GOG rather than Steam.

Which December offers were the best fit?

There was no single objective best game in the lineup. The useful question is which offer matched a player’s hardware, preferred genre, and tolerance for older design.

Were the games really free?

They were available at no additional charge to eligible Prime members during their respective offer periods. They were not free to people without Prime, and an active Prime membership was required when claiming an offer.

“Free” needs a little more explanation because there were several separate actions:

1. Claiming the offer: You selected the title through Amazon’s Prime gaming/Luna claims area while eligible.
2. Redeeming the offer: You completed the GOG, Epic Games Store, Legacy Games, or Amazon Games App process.
3. Installing the game: You downloaded it from the destination PC storefront or launcher.
4. Streaming a Luna title: You played a separate game from Luna’s rotating cloud catalog. This was not the same as redeeming one of the 14 PC offers.

For externally redeemed games, VGC reported that the games were intended to remain in the relevant storefront account after Prime cancellation, unlike subscription-only access. That distinction applies after the code or entitlement has actually been redeemed; merely seeing an offer, or leaving it unclaimed, does not guarantee permanent access.

Cloud access is different. A Luna streaming title remains subject to Luna’s membership, country, device, and rotating-catalog conditions. It should not be described as a permanently owned PC copy.

How claiming and redemption worked

The exact screens could vary by title and region, but Amazon’s general process was:

1. Sign in to the Amazon account attached to an active Prime membership.
2. Open the Prime gaming or Luna claims area.
3. Select the offer and choose Claim.
4. Follow the displayed instructions for the destination storefront.
5. Redeem the code, complete the account link, or install the Amazon Games App as instructed.
6. Download and install the game through GOG, Epic Games Store, Legacy Games, or the Amazon Games App.

Amazon’s general Prime gaming instructions identify GOG, Epic Games Store, Legacy Games, and the Amazon Games App as possible delivery destinations.

Redeeming a GOG code

For the GOG offers, GOG provided two redemption routes:

• In GOG GALAXY, choose + Add games & Friends → Redeem GOG code.
• In a browser, use GOG’s official code-redemption page.

GOG recommends checking the code character by character and trying the alternate method if one route fails. Its official redemption instructions cover the process.

Linking Epic Games Store

Epic’s account-linking process required signing in to Amazon, opening Amazon’s account-linking page, selecting Epic Games, and completing the connection. The Epic support instructions explain the account-linking steps.

Pay attention to which Epic account is connected. Redeeming through the wrong account can leave the game attached to an account you do not normally use, and a code already redeemed on one account generally cannot simply be moved to another.

Using the Amazon Games App

GYLT and Living Legends: The Crystal Tear Collector’s Edition were delivered through Amazon’s own PC launcher. Amazon’s support instructions direct players to download the Windows Amazon Games App, install it, sign in with the relevant Amazon account, and claim or play games through the application.

Redeeming the Legacy Games offer

Christmas Adventure: Candy Storm was identified by Amazon as a Legacy Games Code. After claiming it, players needed to follow the offer-specific redemption instructions displayed by Amazon. The available documentation does not establish one universal Legacy Games menu path, so it is better not to rely on an exact label that may have changed.

PC, Steam, and console availability

The December list was a PC-download list. Its destinations were GOG, Epic Games Store, Legacy Games, and the Amazon Games App. Therefore:

• There was no Steam license included in the official list.
• There was no PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo entitlement included.
• A separate console release of one of these games did not transfer from the Prime offer.
• Owning a console version did not mean the same account received the PC offer, or vice versa.

Some individual games may also exist on consoles, but that is separate from what Amazon distributed in December 2025.

Which games were available through Luna cloud streaming?

Amazon’s December announcement had a separate Cloud section. The following titles were listed for Luna cloud access during the month:

• Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition
• Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
• Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
• Guacamelee! 2 Complete
• LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean
• Mafia: Definitive Edition
• Bee Simulator
• RIDE 4
• Hot Wheels Unleashed
• DREDGE
• Hollow Knight

These cloud titles were not additional entries in the 14 downloadable PC offers. The clearest example is the Fallout naming confusion: Fallout 4 was listed for cloud play, while the original Fallout and Fallout 2 were separate GOG downloads.

Cloud streaming can be useful for someone without a gaming PC because it avoids a full game download and can work on supported browsers, mobile devices, TVs, and other compatible hardware. The trade-off is dependence on internet quality, supported devices, country availability, and Luna’s changing catalog. Amazon’s Luna FAQ explains that the cloud library evolves and that content can periodically leave.

Where was Luna available?

Amazon’s October 2025 FAQ listed Luna cloud delivery in 14 countries:

Amazon said Prime members outside those cloud-supported countries could still receive the monthly downloadable PC-game benefit wherever Prime was available. That did not mean every code was valid in every country: storefront licensing, account region, and the individual offer could still affect availability.

Prime Gaming’s move under Amazon Luna

Amazon relaunched its gaming experience as Amazon Luna in October 2025. The change created much of the confusion around the December list. Amazon’s FAQ said that Prime members would continue receiving a rotating selection of downloadable PC games even though the Prime Gaming branding had been retired or folded into the Luna experience.

The most accurate description of the December promotion is therefore:

Amazon’s December 2025 Prime gaming benefit, presented through the redesigned Amazon Luna experience, offered 14 downloadable PC games.

It is inaccurate to call all 14 titles “Luna cloud games.” Amazon separated the benefit into:

• Cloud: games available to stream through Luna’s rotating library.
• PC: downloadable games redeemed through GOG, Epic Games Store, Legacy Games, or the Amazon Games App.

Common mistakes and troubleshooting

A December article shows the November games

Some pages published in early December accidentally repeated the November 2025 lineup, including titles such as New Tales from the Borderlands, Dark Sun, Gas Station Simulator, Lovecraft’s Untold Stories, Fallout 76, and Fort Solis. Amazon’s official November update confirms that those belonged to November.

The December list began with LEGO 2K Drive, Forgotten Realms: The Archives – Collection One, and GYLT on December 4.

The collection is mistaken for one game

The three Forgotten Realms entries are bundles. Counting each bundle as one offer produces Amazon’s official total of 14, but the component-game count is much higher. Readers interested in the actual number of playable titles should inspect the collection breakdown above.

The reader expects Steam

Steam was not one of the official December redemption destinations. A GOG code cannot be converted into a Steam license, and an Epic Games Store offer does not appear in a Steam library.

The reader expects a console download

The Prime benefit was categorized under Amazon’s PC offers. Console availability of a separate edition does not change the destination of the Prime entitlement.

The reader cancels Prime before claiming

The offer needed to be claimed while the reader was eligible for Prime and while the offer was available. Do not assume that merely having visited the page, or having intended to claim the game, created a permanent entitlement.

The reader cancels Prime after redeeming

For the externally redeemed PC games, VGC reported that the redeemed titles were intended to remain in the applicable storefront account after Prime cancellation. That is different from a title that was only available to stream through Luna. Cloud access remains governed by the active Luna catalog and membership conditions.

An offer is missing

Possible explanations included:

• The Prime membership was attached to a different Amazon account.
• The reader was in a region where the offer or code was unavailable.
• The offer’s claim period had ended.
• The reader was viewing Luna’s cloud library instead of the downloadable PC claims area.
• The relevant GOG, Epic, Legacy Games, or Amazon Games account had not been linked.
• The code had already been redeemed on another account.
• The claims page, launcher, or storefront was experiencing a service problem.

The safest response was to check the local Luna claims page and the instructions attached to that particular offer. Amazon’s December announcement did not establish a universal 30-day play period, 48-hour redemption rule, or identical deadline for every game.

The reader expects an exact release time

Amazon confirmed release dates, not one universal global release time. Secondary coverage sometimes reported an approximately 11 a.m. Pacific Time convention for Prime gaming updates, but that should not be presented as an official rule or as a guarantee for every region and offer.

Bottom line for this archived lineup

Amazon’s December 2025 promotion was best understood as a fragmented PC giveaway: 14 offers delivered across four storefront ecosystems, with the three Archives bundles providing substantially more than 14 individual games. The strongest modern draws were LEGO 2K Drive, Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and the two classic Fallout RPGs. The Forgotten Realms collections were the biggest content package, but also the most demanding for players unfamiliar with older PC RPG design.

The essential distinction is between downloadable PC games redeemed to an external account and separate games temporarily available in Luna’s cloud catalog. The former were reported to remain in the relevant storefront account after redemption, while the latter depended on Luna’s rotating library and service conditions. Since the December 2025 offer has ended, treat this article as a historical record and check Amazon’s live claims page for current benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Were Amazon’s December 2025 Prime games available on Steam?

No. The official destinations were GOG, Epic Games Store, the Amazon Games App, and Legacy Games. None of the 14 offers was a Steam entitlement.

Did the 14 games work on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch?

No console license was included in this Prime promotion. It was a downloadable PC-game offer, even though some individual titles may have separate console versions.

Could Prime members keep the games after canceling?

VGC reported that externally redeemed games were intended to remain in the relevant GOG, Epic, Legacy Games, or Amazon Games account after Prime cancellation. This did not apply automatically to games that were only available through Luna cloud streaming.

Why does the list say 14 games when the Forgotten Realms collections contain more games?

Amazon counted 14 offers. Each of the three Forgotten Realms collections counted as one offer, even though Collection One contains three games, Collection Two contains eight, and Collection Three contains two.

The Bottom Line

In short: Amazon’s December 2025 Prime benefit offered 14 downloadable PC-game deals in five waves, not 14 cloud-streaming games and not console or Steam giveaways. The offers were distributed across GOG, Epic Games Store, Amazon Games App, and Legacy Games. Because the promotion is historical, check Amazon Luna’s live claims page for current offers rather than assuming any December title can still be claimed.
