What is the ARC-12 Blitzer?
The official PlayStation.Blog announcement introduced the Blitzer as part of the Cutting Edge Warbond, whose weapons include lightning-spitting guns. The community-maintained Helldivers Wiki entry describes it as a primary, energy-based shotgun with medium armor penetration.

The wiki reproduces this Armory description: “This shotgun blasts a wide burst of high-voltage electricity that arcs between all units—enemy or otherwise—within range.” The wording signals an important practical consideration: arcs can affect friendly units as well as enemies, so firing into a crowded mix of allies and targets carries friendly-fire risk.
What are its listed stats?
The Helldivers Wiki lists the following reference values. They are community-maintained figures, not official telemetry or independently verified live-build measurements; check the in-game weapon information for current values.

How do you unlock the Blitzer?
- Access the Cutting Edge Premium Warbond. The official announcement says Warbond content requires the base game, paid Super Credits, and progression to unlock; the announcement does not establish the Blitzer’s Medal cost.
- Earn and spend Medals in the Warbond. The Helldivers Wiki lists the Blitzer on page three for 80 Medals. Requirements can change, so confirm the current cost and page in the in-game Acquisition Center.
The official Warbond announcement was published March 7, 2024. It identifies the Blitzer’s Warbond but does not establish the current availability of any particular physical edition of Helldivers 2.

Its listed combination of medium armor penetration, infinite ammunition, and electricity that arcs among nearby units makes it a candidate for players who want a primary weapon with area reach and no magazine or reserve-ammo management. The same arc behavior can hit allies, so positioning and target selection matter. Those traits describe its design, not a verified current-build performance ranking.

The Helldivers Wiki’s change history records a fire-rate increase to 45 shots per minute on April 29, 2024, continuous fire while holding the fire button on August 6, 2024, and a slight stun-value increase on July 15, 2025. The page displays patch 1.007.101, but its history and listed stats do not establish that every later balance update has been incorporated. Treat the figures as reference values rather than a guarantee of current meta strength.
There is no tested comparison here that establishes the Blitzer as better or worse than another primary. To choose between it and an alternative, compare their current close-range effectiveness, damage per target, armor penetration, crowd control or stagger, firing cadence, ammunition constraints, and friendly-fire behavior.
