Blueprints in ARC Raiders come from more than one source, and a map named in a guide is usually a recommended farming spot—not the only place a blueprint can drop. Start by checking the blueprint’s container category and any map, event, or condition requirement; then run a compact route that lets you reach extraction soon after a find.
How blueprint drops work
A blueprint unlocks a crafting recipe when you learn it. In Speranza, select the blueprint and choose Learn and Consume; the blueprint is consumed, and you cannot consume it again after learning it. The ARC Raiders Wiki lists scavenging, Trials, quests, and projects as acquisition sources.
Scavenging is filtered by container type, rather than every container offering the same blueprint pool. The Wiki’s category guidance is a useful starting point, but it is guide-level game data and can change with updates.

The Wiki also says rare and epic item blueprints are more common during x2 Major Map Conditions. Treat that as a current guide claim, not a guarantee; check the active condition and current game information before building a run around it.

How to choose a blueprint farming route
Choose the target first, not the map. A route is useful only if it reaches a source that can produce the blueprint you want. Then balance relevant containers per detour against the time and risk of reaching extraction.
- Check eligibility. Look up the blueprint’s container category and whether its source is restricted by a map condition, event, quest, enemy, or special container pool.
- Choose a viable map and condition. Use a location guide to identify candidate areas, then confirm the required condition or event is active for your session.
- Build a compact loop. Prioritize clusters of eligible containers over a long sweep of general loot. Favor a path that can end near an extraction option rather than requiring a long return trip.
- Set a risk limit. Account for contested event areas, dangerous enemies, and predictable high-traffic locations. A high-value source may not be worth the detour if it makes extraction unlikely.
- Extract after a find when appropriate. Once you have the blueprint, weigh the value of continuing against the risk of losing it. Route quality depends on the target, active conditions, map familiarity, and your tolerance for risk—not just container count.
PandaPlay’s September 2026 location guide catalogs locations, conditions, and sources. It describes a listed map as a best farming location for most scavengable drops, not an exclusive source. Use location lists as route recommendations unless a guide explicitly identifies a blueprint as exclusive or condition-locked.

Examples of ordinary and special sources
PandaPlay’s guide illustrates why checking the source matters: it lists Anvil as available from Raider Containers without a required condition, while Bobcat is tied to Locked Gate or Hurricane/First Wave Cache routes. Jupiter is tied to Harvester event containers, and Vulcano to Hidden Bunker or Hurricane routes. These are dated guide findings, not permanent guarantees; confirm the current catalog and active condition before committing to a route.
For map planning, ArcMaps’ blueprint guide is another resource. Compare candidate routes by target eligibility, relevant-container density, extraction distance, risk, and whether the required condition is currently available. These are practical planning criteria, not measured game mechanics.

Are blueprint drop rates known?
No official numeric drop probability is established in the sources cited here. PandaPlay gives a roughly 1–2% per-container figure as a guide estimate and explicitly says it is not an official published rate. Do not treat it as a promise or use it to calculate how many containers will guarantee a blueprint.
Rates can also change. PC Gamer reported on March 4, 2026, that Embark reduced rare blueprint drops from First Wave Caches while increasing higher-tier cache materials. The patch notes, as quoted by PC Gamer, said: “Caches will still be a solid way to find blueprints, just not to the point where you can reliably walk away from every session with three to five of them.” That balance change describes the adjustment at the time; it does not provide today’s exact odds.

GamesRadar+ reported on September 24, 2026, that executive producer Aleksander Grøndal described a research system: players find items containing research points, then choose targets, including some blueprints. The report said the eligible blueprints and the difficulty of unlocking them were not yet clear. Check current in-game menus and official updates to establish whether the system has shipped and which blueprints it covers before relying on it as an alternative to scavenging. Read the report.
