The ARC Raiders door glitch was a reported collision exploit that let players slip into locked loot rooms without the intended key or access rod. Embark said its November 27, 2025, Patch 1.4.0 added exploit-mitigation mechanisms for locked rooms across every map. Later door fixes in September 2026 address different bugs; official notes reviewed here do not establish that every possible bypass is impossible today.
How the ARC Raiders door glitch was reported to work
In November 2025, a guide described the exploit as a collision problem involving player physics and deployable objects. Reported approaches included one player pushing a squadmate against a locked door and a solo player using a barricade deployment interaction to clip through it. These descriptions are historical secondary reporting, not current instructions or evidence that either method still works. All Things How’s November 2025 guide covers the reported behavior.
The reported payoff was access to the room’s loot without using a keycard or access rod. Clipping through did not necessarily unlock the door itself, so a quest that requires the player to perform an unlock interaction might not register as complete. The distinction is between entering the room and triggering the game’s intended unlock state.
What Embark changed in Patch 1.4.0
Embark’s official Patch 1.4.0 notes, dated November 27, 2025, state: “Exploit mitigation mechanisms have been added for all locked rooms across all maps.” The same notes say Embark blocked an exterior route into the Spaceport Control Tower locked room and fixed an issue that let players push one another by jumping on each other’s backs.

PC Gamer’s November 27, 2025, patch report adds that flamethrowers were placed in locked rooms to attack players entering through the exploit. That detail is reported by PC Gamer; the official patch-note wording confirms mitigation but does not name flamethrowers.
How the later 2026 door fixes differ
Embark’s Store Update 1.47.0 notes, dated September 22, 2026, list fixes for doors that appeared open while actually closed and door blockers that created a duplicate mesh on the opposite side. Those are separately described door-state and blocker-mesh bugs. The notes do not identify them as the original locked-room collision exploit.

Is there a workaround now, and can using it get you banned?
The documented record supports a broad mitigation in Patch 1.4.0, not a guarantee that every conceivable bypass is impossible. No current official source cited here confirms a working workaround for the old exploit.
Embark’s September 30, 2026 anti-cheat update describes ongoing detection and enforcement work, and says some details are kept private because disclosure can help cheaters adapt. It does not specifically identify the old door glitch or announce a door-glitch-specific ban rule. There is therefore no basis in that update to claim that using this particular exploit automatically results in a ban.
