Where do ARC Motion Cores drop?
ARC Motion Cores are rare Topside Materials. The ARC Raiders Wiki lists these scavenging sources: Bastion, Courier, Leaper, Matriarch, Probe, Queen, Rocketeer, Sentinel, Surveyor and Turbine. PC Gamer also points players toward high-tier ARCs—specifically Bastions, Rocketeers and Queens—and suggests checking Probes and Couriers. ARC Raiders Hub lists Surveyors as a source.
These are candidate sources, not guaranteed drops. The cited guides do not provide drop odds, and none establishes which enemy or activity yields cores most efficiently. If you can handle the encounter, search the listed ARC targets and loot Probes or Couriers when you come across them; do not plan around a guaranteed core.
Can you craft ARC Motion Cores?
Yes. The cited item reference lists a Refiner recipe of 8 ARC Alloy for one ARC Motion Core, available at Refiner level 2. Embark Studios’ November Update 1.2.0 notes, dated November 13, 2025, changed the cost from 6 to 8 ARC Alloy and moved the unlock from Refiner level 3 to level 2. Because ARC Raiders is updated over time, confirm the recipe and level requirement in your current game before committing Alloy.

Crafting is the more predictable route once the recipe is unlocked and you have the Alloy: it does not depend on a Motion Core dropping. It still costs 8 ARC Alloy per core, so compare that material cost with what you need for other upgrades and recipes.

There is no sourced basis for calling one enemy, map or raid condition the fastest. A practical approach is to take ARC engagements that suit your gear, loot Probes and Couriers opportunistically, and craft from Alloy if you have Refiner level 2 and can spare the material. The available sources do not quantify time, risk-adjusted returns or comparative drop rates.

PC Gamer lists five ARC Motion Cores for the Refiner level 2 workshop upgrade. If that upgrade is still outstanding, reserve those cores before spending them on optional recipes or selling them. The item reference also lists crafting uses including the Magnetic Accelerator and Wolfpack; Embark’s November 2025 notes say Wolfpack crafting was changed to require two ARC Motion Cores.
Recycling yields depend on where and how you do it. The wiki lists two ARC Alloy for recycling and one for salvaging, while ARC Raiders Hub says recycling during a raid returns only 50% of components and full recycling is available in Speranza. Check the action and location shown in-game rather than assuming every form of recycling returns the same amount.
