December 18: rates remained above an older baseline
In its December 18 Update 1.7.2 hotfix, Embark said blueprint rates had been “slightly lowered” from the immediately preceding level but remained higher overall than before Update 1.7.0. March 3: fewer rare blueprints in Hurricane First Wave Caches
Update 1.18.0 slightly lowered rare blueprint drops from First Wave Caches during the Hurricane map condition, while increasing the chance of high-tier materials in those caches. Embark said caches would remain a solid blueprint source, but players should not reliably expect to leave every session with three to five blueprints. Where can you get blueprints?
Based on the cited official updates, there are two relevant routes: random loot from caches, including Hurricane First Wave Caches when that map condition is active, and event-specific challenge rewards. Their usefulness depends on whether the route is currently available and whether you need a persistent blueprint.

The Fourth Expedition’s temporary guaranteed rewards
Embark’s June 25 announcement listed five damage thresholds—5,000, 10,000, 30,000, 50,000, and 100,000—and awarded one blueprint for each completed objective. These were temporary rewards tied to that Expedition, not a lasting change to random blueprint drops. What is the fastest way to get a blueprint?
There is no single fastest method established by the official information cited here. During the Fourth Expedition, completing a damage objective was a stated reward route; that event has passed. For ordinary play, Hurricane First Wave Caches remain a documented source, but their drops are random and the official notes give no odds. Check the live game and current event or patch notes for routes available now rather than assuming the old challenge or a higher drop rate is still active.
Did the June Forgotten Relics event reward blueprints?
Embark’s June 16 Update 1.33.0 announcement says Forgotten Relics awarded Merits for XP and successfully extracted relics, and describes a reward track. It does not identify blueprints as event rewards, so it is not a confirmed blueprint-farming route. Read the Forgotten Relics update announcement.
Are blueprint drop rates published?
The official sources cited here do not provide numerical blueprint drop probabilities. A September 2026 third-party guide also says official probabilities are not published and labels its own estimates unofficial; those estimates should not be treated as Embark statistics. What about Frozen Trail?
Embark’s September 22, 2026, Update 1.47.0 notice scheduled Frozen Trail for October 8—one day after the information checked for this article. That announcement does not establish a blueprint-rate boost or explain post-launch blueprint mechanics.
