If you mean World of Warcraft, the answer depends on how you enter and which version or dungeon you are playing. Specific or manually entered Heroic dungeons are described as having a daily entry limit in some WoW references, while Random Dungeon Finder Heroics may work differently. Check the in-game lockout for your character and dungeon; being able to run again and being eligible for another boss drop are separate questions.

Does a lockout prevent another run or another loot drop?
Not necessarily the same thing. Entry restrictions concern whether your character can enter or queue for an instance; loot eligibility concerns whether bosses can award rewards again. Historical WoW references distinguish instance rules from Dungeon Finder rewards, but do not establish a single current loot rule for every Heroic mode. What the current Midnight announcement confirms
Blizzard’s August 18, 2026 announcement confirms that Heroic and Mythic 0 difficulties are available in Midnight Season 2. It discusses Mythic 0 reset timing but does not specify the Heroic lockout rule. The Mythic 0 schedule therefore cannot be used to infer when Heroic dungeons reset. How to check your character’s lockout
- Open the in-game lockout or raid information for the character you plan to use.
- Check the specific dungeon and difficulty shown there, rather than assuming the rule from another version or another character.
- If you are using Dungeon Finder, distinguish a random queue from selecting or manually entering a particular dungeon.
- Check whether the restriction shown concerns instance entry or reward eligibility; one does not automatically answer the other.

Can I run a random Heroic dungeon more than once in a day?

Does being able to enter again mean I can get boss loot again?
No. Instance entry and repeat-loot eligibility are distinct rules; check the game’s reward or lockout status for the mode you are playing.
