Yes. New World: Aeternum added Daggers as a weapon class in release notes dated November 4, 2025. The weapon uses combo points and has two mastery trees, Blades and Stealth. There is an important availability caveat: Amazon Games announced on January 15, 2026, that the game was delisted and that its servers are scheduled to shut down on January 31, 2027.
How Daggers work
According to Amazon Games’ November 4, 2025 Daggers release notes, the weapon scales strongly with Dexterity and weakly with Strength. Landing hits builds combo points; abilities spend those points, and having additional points can enhance or change an ability’s effect.
The notes describe two mastery trees. These are developer-described playstyles, not a current ranking of which tree is stronger.

Amazon Games cautioned that the weapon was released unfinished: “We wanted to give you a chance to play this new weapon class despite its unfinished state, so some bugs and issues are to be expected.” That warning describes its state at release; it does not establish which issues, if any, remain.
The same release notes say Perk Charms were available through the Reekwater and Cutlass shops. That is a dated release-note detail, not confirmation that those locations remain current.

In its January 15, 2026 announcement, Amazon Games said New World: Aeternum had been delisted and was no longer available for purchase. Existing purchasers can continue playing until the announced server shutdown on January 31, 2027. The studio also said there would be no new content or further server merges, while it would continue monitoring bugs and performance during the wind-down.
