For an early supply of Aketine in Arknights: Endfield, search the Abandoned Trail in Valley Pass. Once planting facilities are available, use a Seed-Picking Unit and Planting Unit to create a repeatable supply; Aketine can then be processed into the powder used to make Industrial Explosives.
Where to find Aketine in the wild
Valley Pass: Abandoned Trail
The Abandoned Trail is the best-supported wild-gathering location. GameWith places Aketine along a narrow path on the right side of the area map and says Valley Pass becomes accessible during Chapter I’s Secure Sanctuary mission. Destructoid also reports two spots along the trail: one on a lower northeastern path and another farther north. Follow the paths and check the in-game map rather than relying on exact coordinates.
The guides do not agree on a dependable spawn total. Destructoid describes two notable spots and a five-plant harvest, while Game8 provides a broader regional breakdown whose totals conflict internally. Treat those counts as unconfirmed rather than a guaranteed yield.
Other reported Valley IV locations
Game8 also reports Aketine in The Hub, Originium Science Park, Origin Lodespring, and Power Plateau. Its location counts do not reconcile, including conflicting figures for Origin Lodespring, so use these as areas to check—not as a promise of a particular number of plants.

How to set up repeatable Aketine production
Unlock planting
Game8’s guide says to unlock Basic AIC II and research Planting in the AIC Plan’s Processing tree; it reports a cost of one Basic AIC Index. Unlock labels and plan requirements can change, so confirm the current requirements in your in-game AIC Plan before spending resources.
Connect a Seed-Picking Unit and Planting Unit
- Collect a starter Aketine. Gather one from the Abandoned Trail so you have a plant to put into the production setup.
- Place the facilities. Set down a Seed-Picking Unit and a Planting Unit with their relevant input and output ports aligned.
- Connect the units. Use transport belts to link the units into a seed-and-plant cycle. GameWith describes starting the loop by putting wild Aketine into the Seed-Picking Unit of a production blueprint.
- Check the output in the facility interface. Game8 describes routing a second belt from the Planting Unit toward the Automation-Core so some output is stored while the rest continues through the loop. Confirm the current port and output behavior in-game; the guide does not establish a guaranteed split ratio.
This setup is guide-reported rather than independently tested here. It is the documented route to ongoing production once the relevant AIC facilities are unlocked.

Eco-Farm cultivation
Game8’s plant-farming guide and the Endfield Talos Wiki list the Eco-Farm in Originium Science Park as another cultivation route. The available instructions do not establish Aketine’s exact plot recipe, growth time, or unlock prerequisites, so check the live game before committing materials or planning a schedule.
What Aketine is used for
Aketine is an ingredient in Industrial Explosives, which are used to clear destructible obstacles and blocked paths. The documented production chain turns Aketine into Aketine Powder, then combines that powder with Amethyst Parts in a Packaging Unit.

Amethyst Parts are made from Amethyst Fibers. In the described workflow, the fibers are fitted into parts before those parts are combined with Aketine Powder. This makes a starter wild harvest useful for explosive crafting even if you have not yet built a recurring Aketine line.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which supply route should you choose?
| Route | Best for | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Wild gathering at the Abandoned Trail | Getting Aketine early | Direct collection along reported Valley Pass paths; reported counts vary between guides. |
| AIC Seed-Picking Unit and Planting Unit | Repeatable production | Requires the relevant AIC unlocks, facilities, and belt connections; verify current labels and output behavior in-game. |
| Originium Science Park Eco-Farm | Growing plants in plots | Listed as an acquisition route, but Aketine-specific recipe, timing, and unlock details are not established in the cited guides. |
If you need explosives now, start with wild plants on the Abandoned Trail. If you expect to keep clearing obstacles, the AIC loop offers a documented way to make supply ongoing after unlocking planting; the Eco-Farm is an alternative to investigate in-game.
