Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s free Valley of Memory expansion released on November 18, 2025. Ubisoft describes it as more than six hours of new content set before the main game’s finale, sending Basim to AlUla after a lead about his missing father.
When did Valley of Memory come out?
Valley of Memory released on November 18, 2025, as part of Assassin’s Creed Mirage Title Update 1.1.0. Ubisoft’s update notes set the launch time at 14:00 UTC (10:00 a.m. EDT / 7:00 a.m. PT). Ubisoft’s Title Update 1.1.0 notes give the release timing.

Is Valley of Memory free?
Yes. Ubisoft describes the expansion as free for owners of Assassin’s Creed Mirage; it is not a separate paid DLC purchase. The base game is listed for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Amazon Luna, iOS, and PC through Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store in Ubisoft’s October 2025 announcement. The November access guide said the iOS update would arrive later, but that launch-period notice does not establish its current availability. Check the game’s store page on your platform for the present status.

Where is AlUla in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?
AlUla is the expansion’s new region. Ubisoft sets it during the Golden Age of the Abbasid Empire and divides the game area into two named zones:
- Land of the Dead: The northern area, featuring Hegra, stone-carved necropolises, desert, and Ramm Valley.
- Land of the Living: The southern area, including AlUla Oasis and the town of AlUla.
These are Ubisoft’s descriptions of the game map and setting. Activities include familiar world events and contracts, along with Stolen Goods—where Basim steals maps from robbers—and Oud Melodies, parkour challenges that unlock musical themes he can perform in the world.

How many hours is Valley of Memory?
Ubisoft advertises over six hours of new content. That is the publisher’s estimate, not a guaranteed completion time: how long the expansion takes will depend on a player’s pace and how much optional content they pursue. The story takes place before Mirage’s finale. Basim hears his long-lost father may still be alive, consults his old friend Dervis, and travels to AlUla, where robbers threaten the valley.

The update changes the base game as well as adding the expansion. Ubisoft’s patch notes describe these additions for play in both AlUla and Baghdad:
