How to start The Golden Teppo questline
Searching Sakai is listed as the tenth main quest, under The Onryo > The Golden Teppo in Izumi Settsu. PowerPyx lists From Spark to Flame as its prerequisite and recommends level 7. To begin, select Searching Sakai on the Objectives Board. PowerPyx’s Searching Sakai walkthrough
Searching Sakai: find the forged contracts
- Go to Sakai’s Firearm District. Speak with the three gunsmiths along the main street. They do not provide the information Naoe needs.
- Investigate again. This reveals a fourth blacksmith in an alley, speaking with another person.
- Crouch near the draped box and eavesdrop. The conversation points to forged contracts.
- Get the Counterfeit Contract Papers. PowerPyx’s route describes a confrontation: an aggressive response makes the blacksmiths flee, and you must chase them to obtain the papers. The guide says there is no diplomatic way to secure them.
Gamer Guides likewise describes three ordinary merchants and a separate pair of men whose conversation reveals forged contracts. During the later meeting with Imai Sokyu, the name you give can be any name; remember it for continuity. Gamer Guides’ Searching Sakai walkthrough
Prepare for the tea ceremony
After Searching Sakai, the listed sequence continues with The Perfect Gift, then Dress for Success, and then The Tea Ceremony. Gamer Guides places the tea merchant at the north edge of Sakai, west of the bridge leading out of town. Sen no Rikyu appears and teaches Naoe as part of the preparation.

The available walkthrough details do not establish every objective in Dress for Success or the full sequence of The Tea Ceremony; follow the in-game quest markers for those steps rather than relying on an assumed route.

Final quests: what is known about the two routes
PowerPyx’s quest list shows two possible final quests in this target line: Drive the Point Home or Defensive Position. It lists the Golden Teppo as defeated afterward.
