Is Astroneer still receiving updates?
In a May 20, 2026 developer update, System Era said it planned to continue monthly updates through at least the end of 2026, prioritizing bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. The studio also announced plans for a larger free update for the game’s 10-year Early Access anniversary in December 2026. These are announced intentions, not guarantees that a particular feature or date cannot change. For version-specific fixes or known issues, consult the latest official patch notes.
System Era has also clarified that STARSEEKER: Astroneer Expeditions is a separate cooperative experience, not a sequel update to Astroneer. In its May 22, 2026 announcement, the studio wrote: “It is not ASTRONEER 2!”

Does Astroneer have official merchandise?
System Era’s merchandise catalog has listed game-themed items including a Sylva space snail plush, clothing, a tote, a bandana, a hip pack, a notebook, stickers, a poster, pins, and soundtrack vinyl. On the date the catalog was checked, the Sylva plush and vinyl were marked sold out; listings and stock can change. Check the official catalog for current availability rather than assuming a third-party listing is official or in stock.
