ASUS announced the ROG Moon Blade 2 Ace in March 2024; the matching mouse is marketed internationally as the ROG Keris II Ace. It is a right-handed, tri-mode wireless gaming mouse with a 42,000-DPI AimPoint Pro sensor. ASUS’s current U.S. listing gives it a 54-gram weight and a $159.99 price. The 42K figure is a maximum sensor resolution—not a measure of how well a mouse will suit your aim.
Moon Blade 2 Ace or Keris II Ace: is it the same mouse?
Moon Blade 2 Ace is the name used on ASUS’s Chinese product page, while ASUS’s international pages call the mouse the ROG Keris II Ace. The matching AimPoint Pro sensor, connectivity, polling-rate claims and core design identify them as the same product family; the available pages do not establish a separate Moon Blade 2 Ace model. Chinese listings may also use the name 月刃2 ACE. Check the exact model and included accessories on a regional listing rather than relying on its translated title alone.
ASUS’s China product page uses the Moon Blade 2 ACE name, while its U.S. page uses Keris II Ace.

What the 42,000-DPI AimPoint Pro sensor means
DPI describes how much the pointer moves for a given physical mouse movement at a selected setting. A maximum of 42,000 DPI is a configurable ceiling, not a recommended setting for ordinary play and not proof of better aim. Competitive FPS players typically choose much lower effective sensitivities.
The other headline figures describe the sensor’s stated operating limits: up to 750 inches per second (IPS) tracking speed and 50 G acceleration. ASUS also claims less than 1% deviation and track-on-glass capability. Those figures do not establish independent results for latency, motion delay, smoothing, surface performance or click response. A suitable mouse pad remains useful even when a sensor can track on glass.

4,000-Hz wireless is not 8,000-Hz wireless
Polling rate is how often the mouse reports its position to the computer; it is separate from sensor DPI. The Keris II Ace supports up to 4,000 Hz over wireless and up to 8,000 Hz when wired, with the ROG Polling Rate Booster. ASUS describes the booster as an accessory, so check whether it is included in the specific regional package before buying. The March 2024 announcement also described those wireless and wired maximums.
Higher polling rates can increase USB and system processing overhead, and the visible benefit may be limited depending on the display and game. If a game or operating system behaves poorly at a high rate, try a lower setting such as 1,000 or 2,000 Hz. Do not mistake this model’s wired 8,000-Hz maximum for wireless 8,000-Hz support: ASUS advertises that wireless capability for the different ROG Harpe II Ace.

Weight, shape and switches: who is it for?
ASUS’s current U.S. specification lists the Keris II Ace at 54 g. March 2024 launch coverage described the Moon Blade 2 Ace as 55 g; these are different attributed figures, not evidence of a confirmed hardware revision. The announcement report is available at GizChina.
The ergonomic, right-handed shape is the key fit question. ASUS says the design was tested with professional FPS players, but that does not establish a universal fit. Hand size, grip style and preference for an ergonomic versus symmetrical shell matter at least as much as the weight. ASUS includes PTFE feet, grip tape and a ROG Paracord cable for setup flexibility.

The ROG Optical Micro Switches are rated by ASUS for up to 100 million clicks. Optical actuation uses light rather than traditional metal-contact signaling, but a durability rating is not a guarantee that every switch or other component will last that long. Click sound and resistance are subjective; players who specifically prefer a conventional mechanical-switch feel should try the mouse first if possible.

Connectivity and buying details
The three connection options are wired USB, 2.4-GHz RF and Bluetooth. For latency-sensitive competitive play, wired or 2.4-GHz RF is the more appropriate choice; Bluetooth is useful for general use and device flexibility. The mouse also supports ASUS’s ROG Omni Receiver ecosystem for compatible peripherals.

ASUS’s U.S. page lists the Keris II Ace at $159.99, and its China page lists the Moon Blade 2 ACE at ¥899. These are region-specific listing prices, not a promise of the same price, tax treatment, bundle or availability elsewhere. The U.S. listing is the clearest current official price signal for U.S. buyers; it does not establish broad retailer stock.
Before checkout, confirm the exact model name, color, warranty and return terms, and whether the package includes the Polling Rate Booster. Battery runtime is not consistently stated in the cited product-page material, so consult the specification sheet or manual for the exact regional SKU rather than relying on an unsourced figure.
Should you consider the Moon Blade 2 Ace?
It makes sense if
- You are right-handed and prefer an ergonomic shell over a small symmetrical design.
- You want a lightweight mouse with wired, 2.4-GHz wireless and Bluetooth modes.
- You value optical switches, premium ROG features and optional high polling rates enough to consider a premium-priced mouse.
Look elsewhere if
- You are left-handed, need a budget mouse, or want the lowest possible weight.
- You prefer a symmetrical shape or a specific mechanical-switch feel.
- You would not use Bluetooth, wireless, or higher polling rates and do not want to pay for those features.
For an alternative shape and polling profile, ASUS lists the Harpe II Ace with 8,000-Hz wireless positioning; it is a different, ambidextrous-oriented model. ASUS also lists the Harpe Ace Extreme, a higher-end lightweight option. Its price is not stated on the cited listing.
The Keris II Ace is best judged by its fit, 54-g listed weight, tri-mode connectivity and switch feel—not by the 42,000-DPI headline alone. The cited pages verify ASUS’s specifications and listing details, but do not independently establish latency consistency, real battery life, long-term reliability or comfort across different hands and grips.
