The “65 classic games” headline refers to two separate Evercade Super Pocket handhelds, not one device. The Atari edition contains 50 built-in games, while the Technos edition contains 15. Both accept Evercade cartridges sold separately, so you can expand either library beyond its preloaded games.
What the 65-game total means
Atari and Technos are separate Super Pocket editions with different software lineups. Buying one does not provide the other edition’s games.
| Edition | Built-in games | Documented hardware | Current listing information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atari Super Pocket | 50 | 2.8-inch IPS display, 320×240; USB-C cable power; headphone jack | Atari’s current product page lists $59.99 and says it is available to ship in 2–3 days (accessed September 28, 2026). |
| Technos Super Pocket | 15 | 2.8-inch IPS display, 320×240; USB-C charging with cable; 3.5 mm headphone socket; around four hours of battery life | The current HyperMegaTech! product page marks it available but does not state a current price or stock quantity (accessed September 28, 2026). |
Both systems use the same basic compact-screen concept, but the documented battery-life figure applies to the Technos page only. Do not assume unlisted Atari specifications are identical.
Every game built into the Atari edition
Atari describes its 50-game selection as a mix of arcade, home-console and portable Atari releases. Its official highlights include Asteroids, Berzerk, Crystal Castles and Frenzy. Launch coverage from HotHardware on October 15, 2024 also identified Basketbrawl, Centipede, Kung Food, Haunted House, Missile Command, Pong, Tempest and Yars’ Revenge among the lineup.

Every game built into the Technos edition
HyperMegaTech!’s official list contains 15 games. Platform labels matter here: several entries are distinct 8-bit, handheld or 16-bit versions, not duplicate menu entries of one identical release.

Which edition fits your game tastes?
Choose Atari for breadth across Atari eras
The Atari model is the stronger single-purchase choice if you want a larger built-in library and a broad spread of Atari arcade, console and portable games. The 50-game count is not a quality score, but it does mean more included software before buying any cartridges.

- Lightweight Compact Size - For a comfortable grip and hours of fun
- Audio Features - Includes front-facing speaker, volume controls, and 3.5mm headphone jack

Choose Technos for Double Dragon and brawling-focused play
The Technos model is aimed at fans of Double Dragon, Renegade, River City Ransom, Super Dodge Ball, The Combatribes and related Technos releases. Its 15-game list is smaller but more thematically concentrated.
Consider the screen before buying
A 2.8-inch, 320×240 IPS display keeps the hardware pocketable, but it is a small viewing area for text-heavy menus and two-player-style sports action. The compact format suits short sessions and retro pixel art better than a large-screen replacement for a modern console.

Evercade cartridge support
Both Super Pocket editions include a cartridge slot for Evercade collections. Cartridges are separate purchases and do not increase the built-in counts of 50 or 15.
| Claim | Publisher and wording context |
|---|---|
| More than 500 games across 60-plus collections | Atari’s product-page claim for its Evercade ecosystem |
| 600-plus games across more than 60 cartridges | HyperMegaTech!’s Technos product-page claim |
These are separate company claims for their respective product pages, not a single independently reconciled catalog total. Collection availability can change, so check the current Evercade range before planning a purchase around a specific cartridge.

Preorder history and current buying context
The preorder language belongs to the 2024 launch. Coverage published October 15, 2024 reported Amazon preorders at $59.99 and an October 22 release date. Pocket Gamer’s July 5, 2024 announcement coverage also described a limited woodgrain Atari run of 2,600 units; that is a historical launch detail, not proof of current stock.
For a purchase now, rely on the current product pages rather than those launch notices. Atari’s page lists $59.99 and availability, while the reviewed Technos page confirms availability but gives no current price or inventory figure.
What to check before ordering
- Confirm that you are buying the Atari or Technos edition you actually want; the 65 games are not combined on one handheld.
- Read the built-in list, including platform qualifiers on the Technos model, instead of counting franchise names alone.
- Budget separately for Evercade cartridges if you want a larger library.
- Check the seller’s current stock and price, particularly for Technos, because launch pricing and preorder listings are historical.
- Expect a compact 2.8-inch display; it is a portability-first device.
Bottom line
There are 65 built-in games across two Super Pocket editions: 50 Atari games and 15 Technos games. Atari offers the broader all-round library and currently lists at $59.99, while Technos is the targeted choice for its Double Dragon-led Technos catalog. Both can play Evercade cartridges, but those add-ons are separate from the included games and their advertised library totals come from the manufacturers.
