Avakin Life officially acknowledged an inventory bug in December 2021 that could make some items appear temporarily missing, and announced that its fix was live. That historical fix does not confirm that reports of missing items in 2026 have the same cause—or that a current systemwide bug has been acknowledged. If an item is absent, check its likely inventory categories, then contact Avakin Support if you still cannot find it.
What Avakin officially acknowledged
In an official Avakin Life subreddit announcement dated December 31, 2021, the team said technical issues with player inventories could cause some items to appear missing temporarily. The post later announced: “The fix for the inventory bug is now live!” and said items would be returned, including items players had not reported. Read the December 31 announcement.
A January 1, 2022 reminder said players no longer needed to report missing items to Support because the team was aware of that bug. Those notices establish a real, historical inventory issue and its reported resolution; they do not establish that every later missing-item report is part of the same incident. Read the reminder.
Are missing items a current, acknowledged bug?
Recent player posts describe missing shop or offer items, event furniture, and wardrobe items. They are player reports, not an official incident notice, so they cannot confirm either a common cause or permanent loss. Replies to a May 2026 discussion suggest that some costumes may be listed under Bodywear or Sportswear. Treat that as a useful player-reported lead, not a guaranteed fix. See the May 2026 discussion. For context, an August 13, 2025 Steam notice for version 2.23.0 listed other known problems, including transparency and texture defects affecting some items, petkins appearing stuck, and a hair shadow or outline issue. It did not list missing inventory items. That notice applies to the named version; it is not a statement about every later release. Read the version 2.23.0 known-issues notice.

What to do if an item is missing
- Search the inventory by item type. Check the categories that fit the item rather than relying on a single wardrobe view. For costumes, players have specifically suggested checking Bodywear and Sportswear; category placement may not explain every case.
- Contact Avakin Support if it remains absent. Use Avakin’s official support page or the in-game support option. Avakin says players can contact its Support team for one-to-one help.
- Describe the specific case. Include the item name or type, when you last saw it if known, how you obtained it, and the account involved. You can attach a receipt or screenshot if available. These details may help explain the issue, but Avakin’s support page does not establish them as mandatory or guarantee that an item will be restored.
How to interpret the possible causes
- Category placement: The item may be filed under a different inventory category; the Bodywear and Sportswear suggestion for costumes comes from player replies.
- Display or inventory problem: Avakin confirmed that this happened in 2021, but the current reports cited here do not confirm a recurrence.
- Account, purchase, or reward issue: If the item cannot be found in the inventory, Support is the appropriate route for an account-specific case. The available information does not identify the cause for any individual player.
