That count covered eight weapon types and excluded melee weapons. EA confirmed the game’s October 10, 2025 launch, but did not publish an official total in its launch announcement, so 45 should be attributed to MP1st rather than treated as an EA-confirmed figure.
How many weapons were available at Battlefield 6’s launch?
MP1st reported 45 launch weapons on September 17, 2025, grouped across eight weapon types and excluding melee weapons. The figure is a launch snapshot, not a count of everything added since release.
EA’s official announcement confirms that Battlefield 6 launched on October 10, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That announcement does not state the weapon total. The precise count therefore comes from MP1st, a secondary gaming outlet, rather than an official EA roster announcement.
Why 45 is not the current complete weapon count
EA said its post-launch support would add weapons alongside modes, maps, and other features. In an October 1, 2026 update, EA reported that four seasons of content had been added during the game’s first year. The launch figure should not be read as the current full roster.

What the launch count includes—and what it doesn’t establish
- Count: 45 weapons, as reported by MP1st.
- Scope: Eight weapon types, with melee weapons excluded.
- Timing: Availability at the October 10, 2025 launch, not a later-season total.
- Official confirmation: EA confirmed the release date and platforms, but its launch announcement did not specify the weapon count.
The count answers how many weapons were reported as available at release; it does not by itself establish which weapons are strongest, how they perform, or what is in the current roster.
