The Battlefield 6 Open Beta took place in August 2025 and has ended. EA scheduled Early Access to start August 7, followed by open weekends on August 9–10 and August 14–17. The public weekends did not require signup or a code; Early Access had separate eligibility routes. EA has not announced another beta signup period in the official sources cited here.
When was the Battlefield 6 Open Beta?
EA’s announced schedule was for August 2025:
| Access period | Dates | Who could participate |
|---|---|---|
| Early Access | Starting August 7, 2025 | Eligible players using one of EA’s Early Access routes |
| Open Weekend 1 | August 9–10, 2025 | Anyone; no code required |
| Open Weekend 2 | August 14–17, 2025 | Anyone; no code required |
These are EA’s announced weekend dates. Its schedule also listed UTC opening and closing times; localized presentations can show a different closing calendar date where the event crosses a timezone boundary. See EA’s Open Beta schedule for the time details.
Did players need to sign up or get a code?
For the open weekends: no
EA said the open beta weekends were available to anyone, without a code or advance signup. “Sign up” is therefore not a necessary step for those public sessions.
For Early Access: eligibility was required
EA listed several routes for the earlier access period: prior registration with Battlefield Labs by July 31, 2025, selected creator streams, and EA Play Pro as described in EA’s community announcement. Battlefield Labs registrants could use the same EA Account. The precise offer depended on the route; Early Access was not the same as the open weekends. EA’s schedule and multiplayer announcement describe these options.

What platforms and content were included?
The beta was available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app. EA promoted several maps, modes, and features, including the opportunity to play with Closed Weapons. The cited schedule does not establish a complete final content inventory, so it is safer not to treat that overview as a promise of every map or mode that appeared in each playlist.

Can you still play the beta, or is another one planned?
No. The August 2025 beta is over, and Battlefield 6 launched on October 10, 2025, according to EA’s launch announcement. The official sources cited here do not announce a future Open Beta date or signup window.
EA’s legal page refers to a separate Season 4 free trial scheduled for August 18–25, 2026. That trial is not the 2025 Open Beta, and those dates have also passed as of October 4, 2026. Check EA’s game disclaimers for the trial wording.

What can you do if you want to play Battlefield 6 now?
The beta has ended, but EA lists the released Standard Edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Its purchase page links to the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA app. Buying the game is separate from beta access and does not reopen the beta; availability and price can vary by region.
EA reported more than 7 million copies sold in the game’s first three days. That is EA’s launch sales figure, not a count of beta participants. The cited official materials do not provide a public beta attendance statistic.
