Battlefield 6’s Rapid Fire assignments unlock three assault rifles: Rapid Fire 1 rewards the KORD 6P67, Rapid Fire 2 the NVO-228E, and Rapid Fire 3 the L85A3. EA’s current weapon guide confirms those reward links, but does not publish the assignments’ exact objectives or thresholds. Check the live assignment tracker in-game for the requirements and your progress; specific kill counts, damage totals, modes, or prerequisite steps cannot be confirmed from EA’s published guide.
Which weapons do the Rapid Fire assignments unlock?
EA’s Battlefield 6 loadout guide, dated July 21, 2026, connects each Rapid Fire assignment to an assault rifle. Its descriptions are qualitative guidance, not comparative test results.
| Assignment | Reward | EA’s description |
|---|---|---|
| Rapid Fire 1 | KORD 6P67 | Low recoil and a high rate of fire; suited to close and long ranges. |
| Rapid Fire 2 | NVO-228E | Chambered in 7.62 Soviet; described as reliable in mid-range engagements. |
| Rapid Fire 3 | L85A3 | Bullpup rifle with a steady rate of fire, favoring mid- to long-range engagements. |
How do you complete a Rapid Fire challenge?
Open the in-game assignment tracker and select the Rapid Fire assignment you want to work on. Use its displayed objectives and progress as the authority for your current game version and account. EA’s public weapon guide establishes which rifle each assignment unlocks, but it does not state the required damage, kills, distance, game mode, or full assignment sequence. Those exact requirements should not be guessed from old forum posts or player accounts.
EA’s October 10, 2025 challenge guide explains that assignments can award XP and customization rewards and gives general advice for approaching challenges. It is not a Rapid Fire-specific walkthrough, so it cannot confirm these assignments’ objectives.

How to prepare for the rifle you want
Once you know the active objective, set up a loadout that suits the weapon or play style you intend to use. EA says Battlefield 6 loadouts are customizable and weapons can take attachments. You can also try weapons in the in-game Firing Range before taking them into a match. The KORD 6P67’s stated high fire rate and low recoil, the NVO-228E’s mid-range emphasis, and the L85A3’s steady fire and mid-to-long-range role can help guide practice, but none of these descriptions substitutes for the assignment tracker’s requirements.

Historical reports on the EA Forums Battlefield 6 bug-report forum describe weapon assignments appearing complete while rewards remained locked. In an older discussion, an EA community manager suggested fully rebooting the game and completing a full match; the thread also mentions clearing a console’s cache or repairing the PC installation. These were past troubleshooting suggestions with mixed reported results, not confirmation of a current widespread issue or guaranteed fixes.
