Battlefield 6 update 1.4.3.5: release timing and scope
Electronic Arts describes Update 1.4.3.5 as a smaller quality-of-life update with targeted fixes across menus, the HUD, social features, game modes, maps, AI behaviour, and general stability. What changed in the latest Battlefield 6 patch?
HUD, optics, and character skins
- The minimap now remains visible while a player is downed.
- On PS5, scope edges for the optics listed in the patch notes now display at their intended thickness.
- The Rooster and Bob character skins can now be equipped with any NATO class.
Maps, vehicles, and game modes
- Two invisible barriers near Objective E on Wake Island were removed.
- AI-controlled vehicles navigate shallow water on Tsuru Reef more reliably.
- The APHEI Cannon can no longer damage its carrier in Carrier Strike.
Stability and REDSEC fixes
- A crash affecting Spectator mode during large-scale experiences was fixed.
- In REDSEC, a floating zipline at the Tech Campus POI was removed.
- Platform icons in Battle Royale’s Proximity Chat “Recent Interactions” menu were corrected.
Season 5 previews are separate from this patch
EA’s October 1 Season 5 preview discusses possible changes to vehicle health and damage, anti-air systems, attachments, vehicle balance, and REDSEC class training. EA says these plans are subject to change, delay, or removal, with detailed update notes to come closer to the season launch. They are previews, not changes included in Update 1.4.3.5.
