There is no reliable, like-for-like public figure for how many people are playing Battlefield 6 and Black Ops 7 across all platforms. In Steam’s October 7, 2026 snapshot, Battlefield 6 had 21,207 concurrent Steam players and a peak of 35,461 that day. Steam’s Call of Duty figures cannot be separated into a Black Ops 7-only count, so they do not establish which game has more players overall.
How many people are playing Battlefield 6 on Steam?
Valve’s Steam statistics page showed 21,207 concurrent Battlefield 6 players and a 35,461-player peak that day in its October 7, 2026 snapshot. These are Steam-only figures from that observation date, not a live count for every platform or a measure of everyone who played that day. Steam statistics
A concurrent count is the number of people playing at one moment. It is different from daily active users, copies sold, lifetime players, or people watching a stream. Steam figures can also change quickly, so the snapshot should not be treated as a current live reading after its observation date.
How many people are playing Black Ops 7?
The reviewed public Steam data do not provide a Black Ops 7-only concurrent count. Steam’s Call of Duty app is a shared experience that supports Black Ops 7 alongside other Call of Duty titles, so its player total cannot be attributed to Black Ops 7 alone. Steam’s Call of Duty app page describes the shared experience; Activision’s Steam publisher page lists Black Ops 7 as a distinct product.

That distinction matters: a combined Call of Duty app count is not an estimate of Black Ops 7’s population. The sources reviewed do not establish a comparable current all-platform total for Black Ops 7.
Can you tell which game has more players?
No—not from these public figures. Battlefield 6 has an identifiable Steam-only snapshot, while the Steam Call of Duty count combines multiple titles. Comparing the two would put a single game’s count against a shared app’s total. Nor do these Steam figures cover console players or establish global totals.

A fair comparison needs the same platform scope, the same metric, and the same time window. It also needs a count that isolates the relevant game. The available figures do not meet those conditions, so they cannot support a ranking of the games’ total current populations.

SteamDB’s Battlefield 6 peak
SteamDB records Battlefield 6’s all-time Steam concurrent peak as 747,440 on October 10, 2025. That is a historical Steam peak, not its current population. SteamDB’s live count and Valve’s statistics-page snapshot may also be captured at different times, so they should not be presented as synchronized readings. SteamDB’s Battlefield 6 chart

Livestream viewers
Stream Hatchet’s Q1 2026 report tracks viewers across Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Kick, and Facebook Live—not people playing in-game. It reports Battlefield 6 averaging 58.9K viewers at its October launch, 14.4K in November, and 3.4K by January. For Black Ops 7, it reports 40.9K average viewers at launch and around 18–20K into Q1 2026. These dated viewing figures describe livestream audiences, not concurrent player counts, and cannot settle which game has more players. Stream Hatchet reports

- Check the metric: concurrent players, daily active users, sales, and livestream viewers are different measures.
- Check the platform: a Steam number is not a PC-and-console total.
- Check the time: live counts move, and figures captured at different times are not an exact head-to-head snapshot.
- Check the title scope: a shared Call of Duty app total does not identify Black Ops 7 players specifically.
For these games, Steam offers a dated, game-specific Battlefield 6 snapshot but no equivalent Black Ops 7-only number. Without matching, title-specific figures, a precise current comparison is not established.
